Fallout: New Vegas Glitchless Max Quests (95) Speedrun in

Speedrun to complete the maximum number of marked quests (95) without glitches. As of the time of upload, this category is not on the official speedrun.com leaderboards, but YOU could help make that a reality by recording a run of your own! Give it a try - this was actually a lot less difficult than I anticipated. The rules I followed are the same the same as the rules for Main Quest Glitchless, which can be found here (minus the single segment requirement): www.speedrun.c...
I highly recommend using SpeedGuidesLive as a way to keep track of notes during the run (www.nightgamed.... Here are the notes I used to complete the run, shoutout to hunima: pastebin.com/r.... I also highly recommend watching SnowconeJoey's run ( • Fallout: New Vegas - M... ) for a visual aid - this is the only other recorded run of this category that I know of, but please keep in mind that it was done before then addition of the 95th quest at the end of the game; achieved by escaping the Hoover Dam during the endgame.

I agree, most speed runs it doesn't even look like they play the game, it's more like they're testing the game to see what's possible.

Thanks! And to be honest I don't know 100% the reason, but it helps make sure you level up enough in the early game and have enough skill points to get where they need to go. And there's a couple checks you can do with high intelligence that helps. Obviously towards the end of the game level ups are meaningless almost, but having a high INT and subsequently high Science early is good for recruiting ED-E (55), Fisto (60), and hacking the average terminal in Searchlight as some examples.

Hello, nice run. How do you do that quick skill point distribution and dialog "skips"? Mousewheel? Thank you very much ;)

Hey thanks! To quickly distribute skill points I use my left hand to hit the right arrow key and click the plus button with my mouse at the same time. You could also rebind the right arrow key to something closer to WASD, like the F key for example. And to mash through dialogue I tap enter with my left index and middle finger rapidly while clicking with the mouse (except during Doc Mitchell). Similarly, you could rebind enter to something closer to WASD as well, like X/C. It just makes it easier since it's less distance for your hand to travel. Hope this helps :)

I don't remember exactly, I think maybe once? I actually don't crash often. On speedrun.com's leaderboards for this game (or in the Fallout Speedruns discord) you can find resources that will help you crash less, which I highly recommend. Includes the approved NVAC mod, the 4gb patcher, etc. so definitely check that out if you haven't

Don't you get tired of doing that stupid jump-and-turn thing all the time? Is that really faster? If so, it's not worth it. I can't stand the repetitive _thump thump thump_ and the screen turning every half second. Makes this unwatchable and earns you an automatic 👎

Once you get used to the hopping it's not that bad at all. In fact, I find it quite satisfying and almost therapeutic in a sense (although my hands do get tired after 4+ hours). And unfortunately for speedruns it is marginally faster, like 40% faster or something like that compared to simply walking. It's definitely annoying though if you're not used to it and it certainly can be hard to watch. At the end of the day, speedrunning is whatever the individual makes of it. Thanks for your feedback.
