I've gotten the vault chaplain result before. Kinda shocked that it's linked to barter, but it makes sense considering Fallout 3 was very critical of religions. The church in Rivet City isn't even subtle about wanting money for salvation.

Saint Monica's Church never says that it wants money in exchange for salvation. In fact, I don't think Father Clifford ever specifies exactly what the donations go towards, though it should be noted that the church does appear to have a positive effect on the citizens of Rivet City, as Father Clifford raised Diego after he was abandoned by his parents and provides frequent counseling for Mister Lopez, who became suicidal after the deaths of his own family. You also get positive karma for donating to the church, so clearly the game isn't that critical, unless it's trying to be ironic. The most "suspicious" thing that Father Clifford ever says regarding donations is this: "Saint Monica looks most favorably on donations of 100 caps or more."

Sometimes I'll drag a guy wearing a power armor to a nearby container instead of looting their heavy ass apparel, to avoid walking slowly because of the weight. I'm also honestly impressed at the object permanence in this game. Bodies and stuff mostly just stay right were you left them, be it in container or just out in the open.

Apparently, exploding tea is sometimes a problem in the US. People heat the water in the microwave, a catastrophically bad idea as it can superheat the water. Soon as you alter the water's purity, such as by adding a teabag or putting a spoon in it, it instantly boils and splashes scalding water over you.
@drworm73
@drworm73 Жыл бұрын
That can easily be avoided by putting a wooden spoon in the water while you microwave it. It pre-breaks the surface tension. Then again it's not like electric kettles are impossible to find in the US. They are so much faster and quite uselful. I've been using them for decades.

THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY HEAD CANNON! 😂 It totally explains why the Lone Wanderer disappears from the lore after their main game. He went on to become the Courier (I always had it in my head that he was traveling West to contact the central BoS to let them know of the success on the East Coast, as Elder Lyons comments "The Western Elders still refuse to acknowledge my existence." In a terminal. So when he arrived in NCR and saw how bad the BoS was doing out there, he gave up on that pointless task, but noticed the political state of the Mojave, and simply couldn't resist sticking around to see how things went.)

The only problem is that there is no option to know who Colonel Autumn, the enclave, Chicago or Illinois is when you're talking to ED-E. You can only know Illinois from the licence plate on ED-E in Primm. Unless the lone wanderer just doesn't think Colonel Autumn is that important (fair) or never found out what Illinois was during their travels on the East Coast (which is possible, but kind of sad for a courier/wonderer type to have no idea about lol). @@zacharyconfer1828

@@BradTheAmerican Not the OP but it's very, very easy, especially in Bethesda games. Put simply, don't fast travel. It changes the game. You can't go completing the quests by just teleporting across the map and handing in completed quests. Each time you set out from any town, be it Megaton, Diamond City, Whiterun, or the Imperial City itself, you have to make sure you're set and ready to go. You can't just lug the expensive stuff straight to a trader; you have to prioritise, and make sure you're constantly - CONSTANTLY - revisiting friendly nearby areas to sell and reequip. Most of my playthroughs in any of the newer Bethesda/New Vegas games last a good few hundred hours. The game is for exploring, not for completing.

@@BradTheAmerican Added & played through most of the big quest mods, did every ounce of the DLC's, explored almost every location on both maps, got pretty much every unique weapon & armor(except ones that require you to murder nice NPCs), spent way too much time fussing about in my house from the New Bison Steve mod, etc... Also, I played slowly, for instance I probably spent 30ish hours on the Old World Blues DLC alone. It was probably closer to about 260-70 hours in all honesty.

@@DistinctionDave You explore a game that long, you won't be completing it for a very long time. I have things to do and places to be, Dave. Okay that's a lie, I don't go anywhere but I like to be done before the next year or 3.

@@BradTheAmerican Different strokes for Different folks, isn't it. It might not be for you. Doesn't mean it's not fun for others. A playthrough like that usually takes me anywhere from six months to a year, usually playing other games on the side as well. And I love it, it's something to look forward to. I play games glacially!

Woah, from having watched Triangle City's videos on cut content I just realized why the Explosives and Medicine jobs occur more often on the G.O.A.T.! The Medicine skill and Explosives skill were originally going to be the Doctor, First Aid, Throwing, and Traps skills like in the OG Fallout games. This also explains why throwing tea gives explosives as it originally supposed to be tagging Throwing, along with the baseball pitcher answer!

If you get to the voracious reader perk that converts burnt and damaged books into blank magazines. You can turn them into pre war books and completely break the game. As soon as I got that perk I went straight to the Alexandria library and got max level and over a million caps.

To be fair, the jury rig shuffle is enough to break the game. Just buy cheap guns from the capital wasteland and use them to repair the most expensive guns from the mohave. You get like 20k-30k caps from one cycle just as the firearms repair man. Plus you can do it at lvl 14.
