I wonder if there are any cross-promotion efforts between the Amazon Prime show and other properties, specifically the RPG. This is what I think would expand the hobby, routing around Hasbro's dominance in the traditional distribution and sales channel.

They are releasing the three main show characters as miniatures for the tabletop minis game (Wasteland Warfare). I also use those minis for the RPG.

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed the game but I totally agree with you, non-crunchy combat and lack of open world are problems for this game. If you asked me what would be most required for something like this those may be my #1 and #2. Call me silly, but a GURPS Fallout would be great, if anything, would be satisfying to see Fallout come full circle. For those that don't know, the Fallout PC game was originally going to come out with GURPS. Late in development this was pulled following disagreements between Interplay and Steven jackson. The devs made the SPECIAL system instead.

Hmm. I found an error on page 23 in the rules of starter set. You are allowed one major and one minor action each round in combat. It seems they didn’t copy that part from the full rule book. A lot of the other text is copied straight up but this was missed.

The starter set for Fallout is the first Modiphius Entertainment product that I've ever purchased. I was surprised by the amount of errors that made it past editorial and into the final product. I saw repeated sentences, unfinished sentences, misspellings, wrong page number references, and more. For a lot of people, like me, this may be the first impression of Modiphius that people get so it should have been reviewed with a fine-tooth comb and it just...wasn't. Is it bad enough that I won't enjoy playing the game? No. Will it contribute to my decision on whether to purchase the full Fallout Rulebook? Yup.
