Great question! It doesnt have lore-friendly numbered vaults, but it gives you all the tools to make all sorts of "pre-fab" vaults if you dont want to play randomly

That's a really cool expansion! Can't wait to get my hands on it. I gotta say this thoug: I've been 3D printing the vault for a while now and I found that the connecting system doesn't work as good as one might want. The sections fall over when you toch them, so I'm glueing the whole thing and plan on an rpg setting. That makes it less usable for this expansion though. Maybe some kitbashing/hacking might do the trick. The battle report was a ton of fun! Please do more of these.

Nicely done Ryan, I also love the look of this. I have a tonne of battle systems sets and sort of aimlessly made some “vaults” ages ago for my Antares minis. Nothing as good as this expansion tho. They’re really piling on the content for this game!

Ahh, brings back memories of 1st Ed. D&D from way back, except now with Fallout! Was holding off a bit but with your video, now Into The Vault is a must have. Our group would just love this as several play RPGs and this should allow them to enjoy Fallout even more. Since we have played nearly all of Modiphius published scenarios, it is quite a challenge to craft new ones each week and Into The Vault will spare me some of the remainder of brain cells I have left.

Absolutely, this one is a great way to "improvise" a mission without tooooo much effort! It does feel like an old school dunegon crawl, so prefect for an RPG session too!

Nice video, man! I have a question: how do you actually play vault mode + settlement mode regarding continuity? I mean, are these modes supposed to be a one-shot adventure (scenarios) or something more like a campaign? If it's a campaign and you're playing solo, how do you actually keep track of everything from adventure to adventure? Gear, wounds, caps, people, enemies, places you've been, faction politics etc... I've been playing rpg for decades and yeah, there are lots of stuff to keep track of in "common" rpg too, but it's usually 5 players +-. 1 single guy to keep track of everything must be too time consuming! Anyway, keep up the good work!

Oh man lol i just ordered the Astoundingly set lol I sure do love that Hero-Quest'ish way this goes. The way the Vault builds up randomly adds another level, lovely. That's awesome. I actually have that Battle Systems box as well. How did you figure out how much to use per card? I'm looking at getting this - it's awesome even for saying it's like a business or something. Or heck, finding a person you need to rescue. Limit your amount of possible rooms and sticky or star one that holds the person or item in question, and make sure to add in a baddy or something. Last question - is it ever possible to roll for an opponent and get them, but also get critters? And does it tell you the type of critters, or is it up to you?

Hey there! The cards have suggested rooms sizes (3x2, 4x1, etc). The expansion would toally work for other locations that aren't vaults, and has a lot of replay value. Rules-as-written, only one type of adversary spawn at a time, but you could tweak that to fit your needs!

That was a fun dungeon delve. I did notice you were running out of table space rapidly and while the 3D environment looked great I’m sure it took some time to set up for each new room card. This makes me think this game mode would work best with 2d tiles ala Warhammer Quest ‘95 or the recent Dungeon Bowl tiles from GW. Unfortunately, those are both fantasy setting tiles… not sci-if or vault…. ohhhh yeah: Space Hulk! Those tiles would be perfect for this game mode. Looks like I’ll be able to use this expansion after all. 😎

Good call on Space Hulk! Those would totally work for this. And you're not wrong - table space does go quickly with this game mode. Room set-up was surpringly faster than you might think, maybe only a minute or two per room. But it does take some time to get it all rolling

Hey WGM you should do scenarios from the in game events like Helios one. NCR vs Brotherhood of steel maybe a 1500 point game. Do a wave round instead of 6, lets see how long the west chapter brotherhood of steel can last.
