Fun fact: The title of this song is actually a reference to how they made it. Basically, Pete got a really long microphone stand and held it up into heaven and this is what it recorded

I love it too, but doesn’t it bother anyone else that he says “Scar crossed” instead of “Star Crossed”? And he rhymes forever with forever in two separate parts of the chorus. Don’t get me wrong this song and album are great, their best work in years but some of the lyrics seem like they’re just the way they are for the sake of being different.

I will never ask you for anything Except to dream sweet of me I will never ask you for anything Except to dream sweet of me Tell me when the party ends Will you still love who I am? I am Scar crossed lovers Forever I'm checking myself out forever I'm saving this all for later Scar crossed lovers Forever Here we are untouched forever I'm saving this all for later Oh, oh They don't know How much they'll miss At least until you're gone like this Talking to the mirror say, "Save your breath Half your life you've been hooked on death" Twice the dreams But half the love Be careful what you bottle up The chemistry is a mess, it seems But me I'm still a sunbeam And I will never ask you for anything Except to dream sweet of me I will never ask you for anything Except to dream sweet of me Tell me when the party ends Will you still love who I am? Yeah, it's that solo drum run accented by everything coming in at the end. Real "In The Air Tonight" feel, while still managing to sound like it's own thing. My problem with many of the other songs on this album is that they try to do similar things, but never manage to stand apart from the song they are "imitating" or paying homage to.
