Falls of the Ohio: Sand Deposits on Goose Island

Every spring the river rises and eventually falls. When it becomes accessible by paddle or foot it's fun to see what Ol' Man River left at our doorstep. This year it's SAND! White sand beaches now exist all along the island shoreline where only unsightly mud was visible last year. I hope the river doesn't rise up and take it away soon!
