Those female vocals of Katie Thompson are a pure revelation, they really add that extra dimension to the song and take it to another level completely. Just checked out her band 'Chiasma' too and they're phenomenal, didn't know progressive metal could get this good!

I keep returning to this song and video. Sure I can lament what has become of Fallujah, but what a massive triumph. The aesthetics and direction match this songs tone perfectly. As brutal and massive as the sound is, there is a dark beauty that pervades. Cynic helped usher in stuff like this and should be proud/honored. The guitar solo is perfectly subdued, and if any track ever deserved a fade out it’s this one (doesn’t need it though). No one else nailed atmospherics in tech death like this band. Someday hopefully that torch can be carried

Bringing back the front cover of The Flesh Prevails by systematically displaying it in the vid. The shadow creature is slowly enveloping the thinly-veiled model in much the same way as the cover depicts. Now on Dreamless she becomes him. Too bad it's lacking unique styles for each style... it sounds like all the same song each time, unlike Carnifex 2008 album, for example, in which every song sounds like few different. I love this song, but the whole album made listening boring.

The direction of Death Metal with the atmospheric feel of an outer body experience, releasing the melancholy mindset for a moment, it's what I've longed for. Bringing me adrift through the soft touch of the breeze, sifting through my skin. The heroism of becoming one when you look up to the sky. The suns rays passing through the aligned clouds, reaching down to give away it's light in a brave new world. Hope shines in the darkness that we live in. Beauty lies much farther away, but it's never forgotten, buried and lying in wait to be embraced. Extreme metal has such an impact on me that it's taught me to keep a warm heart and an open mind. There are few bands that can giveaway an emotional journey within the heaviest parts of music. Fallujah is one of those bands.
