Didn't realize she was finished. WOW, just WOW. What a fantastically build boat. All involved should be very proud. That interior is just crying out for nights hove too, hot meal and plenty of rum! Well done Mr. Powell.

very sad news that she is being sold, must be heartbreaking for the Powell family. She is truly amazing. I hope the ship yard continues to go from strength to strength . Well done to all involved in her construction.

How someone can sail this and _NOT_ wear a tricorn hat and an admiralty jacket, I will never understand! I would be in full 1760s sailing gear at all times on this magnificent vessel!

I first heard of Pellew through Leo at Sampson boat, restoring Tally ho, Pellew is a magnificent build, beautiful in every way, I would dearly love to be a working guest one day, (I've dropped many subtle hints to my partner) if you don't know of Leo check out his KZbin channel, just search for "Tally ho" you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful boat. Her lines and dimensions are perfect. Stunning under sail. I wonder how she performs? A nice compromise between utilitarian and comfortable below. No protection on deck, though, so only sailors who love weather best apply. Can't believe she's for sale already, after only being launched 2 years ago. Thanks for the walk-through.

Already for sale. Amazing. None of these boats stay in private hands more than a few years. One rich man can build it but it takes 10 rich men to keep it up.

Lovely pilot cutter. Surprised to see that she's up for sale ...

Given the year she was launched, and the worldwide "thing" that was happening, I doubt the chartering operation was viable for a long time. No income, maintenance costs, etc. Might explain the reason why.

I had 10 days on Pellew recently, sailing around the Hebrides and going to St Kilda. She's a phenomenal boat, we had very rough weather and she was superb in those conditions, when the winds are strong and the seas calmer she flies - she was cruising at 14kts in no time off the coast of Skye. Very comfortable for guests down below, state of the art systems. Luke and Jo Powell are fantastic hosts, should you ever get a chance to sail with them.

I think it is under the floor . Down main ladder, there was a door next to the electrical panels. I think that led to engineering,

Why when building new and installing an engine you make it a wing engine ??
@Timothy_Pitt2 жыл бұрын
Excuse my ignorance Please explain
@littlewingpsc27 Жыл бұрын
She is meant for sailing. She was designed for sailing fast. Her origins are for bringing naval pilots out to guide ships into harbor. She isn't designed to motor sail. So the wing engine is just an auxillary.
