This series of video tutorials is absolutely the bee's knees. It has given me a much better understanding of the various types of latches and flip-flops. Thank you so much for making these videos.

Used this as a quick reference simulator when i was in school for an EE degree, nice that it is getting recognized.

how do you make subcircuits? i see there is an option but it says that the circuit must have inputs and outputs or something like that

Hello, I would like to ask you if you know of any boxes or tools within the simulator. It's missing that it allows me to measure a certain amount of time, or that it grabs a specific piece of information to do a mathematical operation. I am doing a project in Falstad that intends to measure the capacitance of a capacitor from the time it takes to charge, and I have the formula to achieve this, but I do not know the tool that can allow me to display that data and capture said charging time. burden. t would be very helpful to me and I would deeply appreciate it if you could answer this question for me.
@magnuswootton6181 Жыл бұрын
falstad does resistors, caps, batteries and inductors perfect too!!!

Indeed. I also love the physics simulations www.falstad.com/mathphysics.html :)KD

@@ComputerScienceLessons one of the tricky things about electricity is its so quick you can miss it easily! so falstad helped me emmensly, I'm much better now at it.

Nice Simulator. Ive been using logism evolution but this is better on the go

Indeed. Thank you :)KD

They don’t serve the same purpose. Falstad is an analog simulator whereas Logisim is digital. The latter helps you to verify that digital circuits, even extremely complex ones, are logically correct

When I get time, I want make some lessons on how to simulate DRAM, SRAM, decoders, adders and the like. There are lots of prebuilt examples available, but I think it would be beneficial to see them built from scratch, so a student can follow along. Do you have anything in particular in mind that you would like to see?
@recursion. Жыл бұрын
@@ComputerScienceLessons Yep exactly what I thought., like circuitry and logic stuff whatever goes hand in hand with CS. You can also check grad program and try to see the intersection...

Just turn the dots, rotate to the orientation you want

I find it to be a pain in the AZZ. If you move a component the line segments don't move with it. And the line segment as also a pain. You have to add so MANY. You can't just add a node. Many of the components don't work proper either, like the timer relay. You can't even change the colors.

What about Logisim though
@ComputerScienceLessons Жыл бұрын
I like the ease with which I can connect wires in logism. The ability to analyse a circuit is very nice too. But I find interacting with clock driven circuits a little unintuitive. :)KD
