This video is part of a series that focuses on generative modular ambient. In these videos I'll be using my Eurorack modular system to create meditative patches that breathe and float. I am especially interested in generative processes, allowing the modular system to "play itself" and create slowly evolving textures that have no beginning and no end.

Patch Notes:
Last month I decided to replace my 14 HP version of Rings with two smaller 8 HP Nanorings from Calsynths. My intention was to experiment more with chord-like structures by sending distinct sequences to each version of Rings. (Rings has some decent polyphonic options, but they are limited. I wanted to push things a bit more.)
In this patch I'm using the Oxi One to sequence each Nanorings separately. The second Rings is receiving an offset version of the original sequence: the same notes, but starting from a different place in the original sequence. The notes in each sequence have a 50% probability of being triggered, allowing for some generative, unpredictable variation in what is heard.
The audio from Rings is being split into two channels, in a fairly Innesti-typical fashion. One is being fed into the Nebulae where some pitch shifting and time stretching is taking place. The second audio stream is being fed into the Arbhar for granular manipulation and playback. Both of those channels are being bathed in reverb from the FX Aid.
This patch also makes use of the new Bleep Labs Sensory Coupler module (top left, and zoomed in around the half-way point of the video). I have the Sensory Coupler set up to monitor the sunlight, which is shifting in subtle ways as clouds pass overhead. This module is sending CV to the Position input on one of the Nanorings to create some extra subtlety. I've mostly been using this new module to modulate the mix of different channels, but used it here to directly modulate Rings.
