Faluda is mixture of Rose syrup, milk, vanilla ice cream, poppi seeds ( mixed favoured jello cubes can add too). Local supermarkets have faluda mixtures and all you have to do is mix with milk and add a scoop of ice cream.

Really, you cannot stop a certified foodie, determination is the name of the game. And so the hunt for Faluda in Trincomalee is on, thank God it's not in Falluja. And so the obsession to find Faluda is haunting all of us. Success, yes, and slurp, slurp, all gone, haha. Nice one. Sounds like Faluda contains some Bergamot, a citrus fruit found in certain sweets, Earl Grey tea and Turkish Delight. Bergamot may be the secret to the Faluda flavour, I assume. Another flavour conquered.

The fish they're referring to as "Kelawalla" is the yellow-fin tuna. But, I doubt that's what you saw on the beach. Also, faluda isn't really a traditional drink from Sri Lanka. I guess it has origins in India or Persia, and is mainly popular among some minority communities.
