The point I was trying to make is that Lovebites HM dirge comes from the 70's and so over now - I know, I saw Black Sabbath when they were called Earth before you were born probably. They are great musicians and could do much better - hopefully Fami can bring them into the 21st Century

@@Coomberg Lol Lovebites sound nothing like Black Sabbath. Apart from the fact that they are literally considered the creators of heavy metal, so by that logic every metal band in existence draws from them to some extent. And you are confusing the 70s with the 80s here as Lovebites draw way more from bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, who've been around for a while, yes, but they also draw from more modern bands such as Rhapsody of Fire, Angra and DragonForce. So do many other bands for that matter, so why only point out Lovebites? That makes no sense whatsoever. Plus they are better musicians than the members of many of the bands they draw from. This is a pretty ignorant take. Also Miho was the one member most enamored with 80s metal and she's gone now, so let's see how their sound will evolve.

The addition of Fami really expands what Lovebites will be in the future. Her jazz/fusion input along with commercial pop feel will just make the group even better than before if that thought is possible! lol. Fear not they will not lose their metal/classical roots. JMO but this will get them the world class they deserve and get them into the American market. They have it all! From their audio/video production they are a commercial marketers dream.

I would like that direction, but I don't think they will give her that much leeway. I think they are set on providing classic heavy metal to an audience that expects that of them. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but I am not optimistic. Lovebites *is* a semi-commercial product already, and they *are* being marketed, and if you have a concept, you are often loathe to experiment. Judgement Day at any rate will be a conventional metal album in their usual style, I think, because the material was probably written before Fami joined. I mean I'd love for them to be more progressive, but I have my doubts about their label and how they see themselves. I'd be happy to be surprised. Let's see in, say, two years or so, after their next EP or album after Judgement Day.
