@@davidboubion9500 no it’s not. it’s about what cubans go through. “Nobody's listеning, so she won't speak, won't speak” she says that as nobody ever listens to cubans. “She knows the stories 'bout the police, police It's just the way it is, so don't speak, don't speak” police hurting/etc people for saying anything against the government. “She believed the world they promised her, but now she's older” the communist government promised us the world yet we r only struggling because of them. “She's seen the people disagree and disappear” again when cubans say anything against the government, you legit never see them again. “The power's out for days, no food is on its way” the power being turned off for days and every night when cubans protested for the first time in decades against the cuban government when yotuel released Patria Y Vida towards the saying Patria O muerto the government uses on people. “Nothing changes, this ain't the dream they sold us” again being sold that communism is amazing when it’s not. “But she worried about her children Ninety miles 'til the shore” Most cubans escape cuba by rafts, to the united states florida keys which is 90 miles from cuba. “Quiere libertad, quiere patria y vida” patria o muerte is the saying fidel castro and the government tells/told cubans and yotuel who is singing it in this song, made a song last year Called Patria Y Vida. the list goes on

I think the order of the tracks she choosed was from “he is in love” (Celia), “I feel anxious” (phycofreek), “I feel jelous” ( hasta los dientes and no doubt), and end up with “i miss you” (nobody at this party) when he lost him. Camila said she wanna move to another country in an interview, somewhere in Latin America or Spain, it’s like she wants a new life, a new beginning, i told you this because you like tea girl

‘psychofreak’ is about mental health (its not talking about Shawn in nothing, she has actually this song done when they are together, maybe only when she said about the insecurity about love like: “When we're makin' love, I wanna be there” is about him) actually thats why the lyrics is kinda weird, she told in so many ‘Familia’ interviews the she had a worst mental health/anxiety in the ‘Romance’ era (2019-2020). so ‘psychofreak’ is weird bc she felt weird at the same time (actually i loved the “Tryna get connected, no Wi-Fi” bc she told how she fells disconnected of the world) another one of the special lyrics is when she said “Everybody says they miss the old me…I been on this ride since I was fifteen…I don't blame the girls for how it went down, down” like OH WOW she is talking about FH. the lyrics are weird, repetitive but at the same time so incredible when u understood. btw i loved ur reaction (hi from mexico)

Psychofreak is about growing up in the industry. Both camila and willow got into the industry at a young age. ( in willows case born into it) It's about feeling alienated and how they wish they could DISCONNECT from their celebrity status. Hence the wifi lyric. She also mentions the girls in 5th harmony and even makes a nod at the song "down" which was the first song they released without camila. It's not about Shawn at all even tho there are several tracks in the album that reference that relationship. She absolutely killed it and her songwriting has improved so much, she touched on some very important topics and problems of today's society, like anxiety, toxic masculinity, childhood trauma, and the struggles of women in 3rd world countries like Cuba in Lola. Also you might remember the melody of La Buena Vida from the Don't Go Yet music video since its featured at the beginning. Loved the album, loved the reaction ❤

I loved your reaction. I just wanted to answer some of your questions. In boys don’t cry I think she was talking about Shawn and how he didn’t show his emotions and she wanted him to open up to her so basically she wanted to help him and told him it’s ok for boys to cry and Shawn has also the line from his song wonder “ I wonder, when I cry into my hands I’m conditioned to feel like it makes me less of a man” and he also said in an interview that he almost ruined the relationship because he was struggling with anxiety and he couldn’t communicate with her for like a month because he was scared to be seen as the weak man. No doubt I think she was talking about like how she has this fear and overthinking that he might be cheating on her and she created all of these scenarios in her head like him being with another girl but when they were making love he left her with no doubt that he’s not cheating on her and their love was real. I’m sorry for this long comment and for my bad English because English is not my first language.

Romance is still my fave album of her, simply bcoz I had good moments while listening to it and that album gained some sentimental value to me BUT, do Familia have tracks better than some of Romance tracks? ABSOLUTELY. Heck maybe Hasta Los Dientes, Boys Don't Cry, Shameless & Something's Gotta Give could fight over on what's my Top 1 Camila Track. Overall it's not that bad. Album might be on repeat. CRASH & Familia are my Top 2 2022 albums at the moment. Camila stepped her game and I'm not even a solid Harmonizer. 💚🌴🍾💃🏻

So "hasta los dientes" cant be translated on its own, in a nutshell the song talks about how much it hurts to love him so much that even her teeth hurt, and I am totally with you, completely in love with that song!

Boys don’t cry basically is Camila telling her boyfriend or guy that he needs to be emotionally available and vulnerable with her. Then, because they guy is deciding to not share his pain with her, it causes her to stress out about what is bothering him so much. She also says that sharing his pain with her does not make him any less of a man. I hope my explanation helps.
