11:10-11:18 Same way Frank Welker managed to play Ralph again in the reboot: Frank Welker is immortal. For now, at least. Seriously, I still find it amazing that he started out playing Fred Jones all the way back in '69, and yet say for the obvious march of time, sounds almost exactly like he did so long ago!

7:06-7:27 This is still one of the best points you've ever made, CR. "I have money. I want to GIVE it to you." This can be said for so many shows that for some stupid reasons aren't released on DVD yet.

I concur! Said DVD sets should also have commentary from the voice actors, Behind-the-scenes looks, Promo commercials for the shows, And other cool things you can only get with Physical media. (Just like with Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, and Steven Universe.) And yeah I know it takes extra time and work to put all that extra content into a presentable DVD case and digital menus and what not. But in the end you get a product that is worth buying and keeping

This could've be a prediction for the doll line of the children of famous movie and storybook characters going to a school for monsters and fairy tale characters, except Tiny Toons weren't the sons, daughters or relatives of famous Looney Tunes stars.
@TaiKiGU10 жыл бұрын
Well, I think the difference in Ralph between the two shows is that in Tiny Toons, he was an obstacle to be overcome, but in Animaniacs, he was something to be avoided. And that's why the difference in intelligence.
@robbiewalker28312 жыл бұрын
Either that, or the Warners have become so synonymous with the studio to the point of being immune to Ralph's later attempts, and that Ralph is only able to capture people who are from OUTSIDE the studio that doesn't have permission to meet a famous celebrity. Also, in response to why CR is confused about Ralph being around since the 1930s, I'm guessing Ralph is about as much of a cartoon character as the Warners, and that he was created for that specific purpose... like he's some kind of guardian created to have the Studio under control.
@TaiKiGU2 жыл бұрын
@@robbiewalker2831 I'm not confused about the whole cartoon character thing, that's just cartoons. It's all just silly. However, when one thinks back on the various Looney Tunes shows, you notice that the same pattern repeats. (This is actually true of most cartoons, but I digress.) Anytime a main character needs to get past someone, they are clever and observant. However, when such an individual need to be avoided, they act gullible and slow witted.

Besides the Warners, Ralph is my favorite character in Animaniacs. I actually found out recently that he was on Tiny Toons too, which is exciting. Which episode of Tiny Toons is the one at 6:27? EDIT: And yes, I would have loved a spinoff involving Ralph's life other than chasing the Warners, rather than Pinky, Elmyra and The Brain. I'd actually WATCH the Ralph spinoff.

Hey CR, got a very interesting piece of Trivia for you! Did you know that Ralph also shown up in an episode of Darkwing Duck "A Star is Scourned" (Se1Ep60)? I'm not kidding you! He's less fat, he wears glasses, but it's Ralph! He talks the same and guards the "not-Disney" studio lot! It aired on November 29, 1991 and "Buster and Babs go Hawaiian" aired on November 18, 1991! Also Ralph is among the character I'd really like to see get an episode of instead of Katie Kaboom!

I think I can explain how Ralph went from being a smart, wisecracking security guard to a dumbed down buffoon. See, he caught the Warners back in the early days, when he was still smart, cunning and capable, and is up till the Tiny Toon days..But the first time the Warners escape for the first time he underestimates them due to forgetting their own cunning, and gets hit in the head hard, effectively suffering brain damage which reduces his intelligence and savvyness.

Hello how are you this fine day/eveing/ungodly hour of the night? Is it possible that from Tiny Toon Adventures more intelligent Ralph to Animaniacs Dimwitted Ralph be their way of showing him aging, since physically he looks the same, but mental he is two knives short of a chefs kit? I agree that for them to just go and kill his ability to think of clever plans seems odd, or is it maybe showing that Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, are so above human Intelligences that Ralph just seem Dimwitted? What do you think?

Meh. I like your theory, but I think the significance of the color was just so that the readers would be drawn to the same things the characters were drawn to. Red could mean power, sure, but it mostly showed up in the comics when somebody was bleeding. It's not symbolic so much as a grabber -- it indicates this is what the in-verse characters' eyes are drawn to.
