Ainda tive a honra e a alegria de, juntamente com a minha saudosa companheira Helena, confraternizar nas Saintes Maries de la Mer com Ricardo Baliardo, o Picasso da guitarra Flamenca, o grande e saudoso Manitas de Plata. Daqui de perto de Lisboa, um grande abraço para toda a família Baliardo.

All three in very good form here, great to see how the Baliardo and Reyes musical tradition continues. Watching the old videos of Manitas and Jose compared to the generations that followed it can be observed that Manitas and Jose had a superior fashion sense (no disrespect to anybody but those guys did dress well) and that the new generations play new guitars, whereas Manitas is mostly seen with old friction peg guitars (Ramirez?). And the tone he got from those old guitars!
