We have been away camping in Wales and honestly, it has taken me this long to defrost! We had highs and lows, laughs and tears, but a takeaway feeling of having had the best time.

I'm Katy, I'm a busy mum of 3 with two girls and one baby boy. Gracie is 6, Lils is 4 and Wills is now 18 months and keeps me on my toes with his antics!

My summer has been the worst so I must admit I really like this video but much more for the honesty then that I would ever wish someone (let alone you or your family) a bad holiday, or bad weather on their holiday. Once again thank you for just being so real. And it did look like your kids had a good time bonding as a family. I gotta restart now after the summer, your cleaning videos are always so motivating, I hope you can make some in the style you've done before. Anyway, I hope you (and your hubby) caught up on your sleep, hugs and love!

I have fond memories of a camping trip around Wales with my bffs about a decade ago. We also did Pembrokeshire. It mostly rained at night too but overall we had good weather and I loved it. But we were all adults.

We have a camper and each season it takes 2 times out before we get the bugs worked out. Next time will be better. It sounds like the kids had a blast

What a gorgeous video! You've lasted much longer than I would have, I think I would have packed up and moved to a hotel after the first couple of days. Loved seeing the girls' smiles throughout though, they looked like they really enjoyed it! Also, the castles! We love Kent for them, but I think we shall plan a trip to Wales, they looked gorgeous x

Lovely vlog. Children playing with swords was so cute. Makes perfect sense to pack up in the sun so you don’t pack away a soggy tent that then gets mouldy!

I think 2 weeks was a long time for your first camping trip. The scenery was absolutely beautiful! Your children looked so happy, lots of beautiful SMILES! I must admit that I'm very glad my parents migrated from the UK before I was born as I don't like the weather u had in summer. It looks like u all had a real adventure and made lots of wonderful memories. I'm Australian and I LOVE camping. Where I go camping there's no showers only drop toilets but it's beside a beautiful river for swimming. It only costs me about $10 a night for my daughter and I and our dog is welcome too! It's in a nature reserve which is beautiful Australian Bush except for a small area cleared for your tent. And it's only an hour and a half drive from home. I'm very lucky!!!😀

Bravo!! Two weeks is a HUGE amount of time for camping your first time. Particularly with 3 children and one in diapers! Wow! Did I see a station to wash dishes? I have never camped in an open area like that but it appeared to be a campground that provided amenities? (Toilets, water, power etc?). I am in the USA and we have varying degrees of amenities at campgrounds as well as “primitive” that have no amenities except other people... we can also simply go out on our own in the wilderness. Our family camps in different ways... depending on where we’re going and we love it. But you really have to know what all to expect and to be prepared. (You are absolutely right, and I would have needed a time out too!😉). I’m glad you aren’t put off by it and willing to go again... it really does get easier each time and you learn a LOT. There are loads of “camping hacks” on Pinterest and websites to give you ways to make it easier. Bravo Katy !!! 👏 👏WELL DONE!!!

I'm definitely not put off - I am definitely more aware of what is needed and have learned lots of lessons. First of all - never camp on the side of a cliff again haha!! xx

Your such a cool and badass mom for allowing your kids this amazing experience, even though it wasn't easy for you sometimes. I would have loved if my parents did this when me and my sister were young. Maybe I'll do this when I have kids. Wish me luck; I go camping in 2 weeks 😅😏😳

@@WhatKatySaidUK It was 100 F degrees when we were camping so I was a whiny mess! 😂 I'm so lucky my husband is a patient man because I was constant complaining. Poor man 😅 But it was a nice trip regards of the heat, tiny mosquitos & tarantula scare.
