Personally I can't wait for child labor and acting laws catch up to the modern times to add youtube, tiktok, and others. Once those go into effect a lot of these family channels are going to be pretty much done for. It genuinely makes me wonder about California regulations for posting kids on social media. I know that in parts of Virginia, you need the parents to sign a waiver agreeing to let your kids' photos/videos be used for social media. Using someone else's child for your profit is rather unethical, and I don't entirely blame Shyla for going scorched earth on her former in-laws.

The Ace family has Consent from the dad Landon. That’s the work away around it. The only way for Shyla to keep her daughter off is she gets a court order stopping it. But family court is mess and takes time.

But then they stopped there. Children pretty much need to get emancipated to _have_ any right that isn't granted to them by their parent. Once you think about it, you realize that a child doesn't even have legal recourse against an abusive parent when they're being mentally harmed, because it's not physical harm with obvious evidence.

How does that law play into a situation happening like this one? You & I have separate yt channels, but sometimes we film together, intending to use the footage in our individual KZbin channels.... You know, I have a lot of loans that I’m paying off currently. It’s a really stressful time and I’m barely making it through with this economy and while juggling nursing school. But I’m damn glad I’m not part of the ACE family, they just have so many lawsuits and financial obligations to answer to. Just a mess/nightmare honestly
