Have patience, for surely Allah loves those who are patient. Know that you cannot guide whom you will, but Allah guides whom He wills. Have sympathy for your family and love them and respect them nonetheless for perhaps once upon a time you were just like them and Allah chose for you to be Guided.

lol it was the exact same thing in my family then suddenly wen i started to take the deen more seriously my relationship with my family. I thought it was just cuz we matured but insha Allah we all changed for the better in the eyes of Allah like he says. The biggest thing is sitting ur siblings down and asking them to critique you; litteraly ask them what are my flaws and take it trying to improve yourself; theyll start asking you what their flaws are...the rest is like sayin salam with a smile

The least amount to maintain connection with your kinship (siblings) is the salam - assalam alaikum.
@orlandobrown92894 жыл бұрын
The excellence of maintaining ties of kinship: Abu Hurayra said, "A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said, 'Messenger of Allah! I have relatives with whom I maintain ties while they cut me off. I am good to them while they are bad to me. They behave foolishly towards me while I am forbearing towards them.' The Prophet said, 'If things are as you said, it is as if you were putting hot ashes on them and you will not lack a supporter against them from Allah as long as you continue to do that

(35)Chapter: The excellence of someone who maintains relations with relatives(35)بَابُ فَضْلِ مَنْ يَصِلُ ذَا الرَّحِمِ الظَّالِمَ Al-Bara' said, "A bedouin came and said, 'Prophet of Allah! Teach me an action which will enable me to enter the Garden.' He said, "The question is a broad one, even though you have asked it in only a few words. Free someone. Set a slave free.' He said, 'Are they not the same thing?' 'No,' he replied, 'Freeing someone is setting someone free yourself. Setting a slave free is to contribute to the price of setting him free. Lend an animal for milking which has a lot of milk and treat your relatives kindly. If you cannot do that, then command the good and forbid the bad. If you cannot do that, then restrain your tongue from everything except what is good

I’ve done so much for my family, but I am so lost, sad and so sick of being tried of this. My parents are so selfish, they only care about themselves, they always fight, they fight and fight. My brother have been so bad to my mother because of my father. And no one listens to my problems, to what I need, to how I feel, no one. I can’t tell my father, he never understand, he always promise to be good but he never does. I’m so lost.. my parents will never change even if pray so hard to god, I have done that for 4 years. I hate this. I even suffer from a bone disease and would never be able to live normally. I am stuck and doesn’t know what to do, I always have sabr but they doesn’t..

Agreed. But we should also maintain an atmosphere where people are encouraged to express their views freely. This can be seen clearly in Hadiths like the following: Aaisha (RA) reported that she heard Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) say, “He whose reckoning is harsh will perish.” She asked, “O Messenger of Allah, Allah says---Then as for him who is given his record in his right hand, soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning (84,7-8)--- He said, “That is presentation (of deeds).” [Bukhari]

Children should first try to understand, parents expectations & well wishes for their children as genuine and natural … but it’s the adult children, who should first confide and apologize for their indifferent attitude towards them… Which will hopefully, help them both reunite their ties and understand each other better by maintaining healthy Islamic relationships…InshaAllah 👍🏻
