Wow. It's 40 years later, 2024. Both shows are still in production and many of those actors are either still on the shows, or have recently been on them. Soaps are such a special genre! Long may they live.

Its funy that a couple years later Eileen Davidson would be working on Days of our lives. I loved the soaps more back in the days. The storyline was much better than they are now.

This is a season 7 episode. Also that same month was The Battle of the Hollywood Models (also Syndication), as well as the last Primetime special on ABC on May 25, The Battle of the Crimefighters.

Season 7 also had 2 Celebrity weeks in November 1983. One week had The Battle of the Beauty Queens, while the other week had The Battle of the TV Hosts. Season 8 had only 2 Celebrity specials, Olympic Medalists and The Hollywood Walk of Fame special. Before that, there was a World Series Rematch week in 1980. They were all aired in Syndication.

By season 4, when it was expanded to five days a week, each season from that point on out had 160 episodes. I have no idea if any weeks were reran during December or early Spring, aside from Summer.
