I've seen a good handful of your "before Gorillaz Murdoc videos" and the animations are really good! They convey what happened in his childhood very nicely! I will also say you portrayed the SA he went through in school nicely as well. It's hard to convey such topics at times due to how understandably touchy they are. Poor Murdoc had a very rough childhood and while it's not an excuse for his actions it's definitely a reason for them. Hell the guys had his nose broken about nine times I think, one of those was from his brother Hannibal and a few other times were from Russell. The other times I don't think were directly mentioned. That aside, I do like how you portrayed Hannibal as a sort of semi empathetic figure in Murdocs life. Despite having canonical information that Hannibal had broken his nose on one account, we have no other information about him. I'd like to believe Hannibal hated his father too, as Sebastian is a racid, disgusting man. And while it's not an excuse, I do think Sebastian is part of an abuse cycle as it is very likely his father was abusive and neglective to him like he is to Murdoc. Which is why he's an alcoholic and abusive to his son, as he was potentially the target of abuse for his father. Again not an excuse but a reason and some food for thought. Thank you for making these videos. We don't get enough Gorillaz content that we can just enjoy without certain parts of the fandom trying to shove things into it like ships and toxicity overall. Not to say ships are toxic, though they can be, they're just not my deal and it's so hard to find Gorillaz content that isn't ship focused or that's really lore focused or even "deep dives" like yours. Point being it's just difficult to find content like yours that is lore informative or thought provoking and that's not "ship happy" or misinformative or just toxic in general. Not to say there's no Gorillaz content free of that obviously, I'm just saying it's hard to find content that is free of it.
