Chevy Chase actually had a late night talk show in 1993 on Fox that was a disaster and only lasted a month. It's a little dig at Fox for how much terrible stuff Fox green lights. Chevy Chase is also known to be one of the most hated men in show business. How hated you might ask. So hated that at his Friars Club Roast no one that he ever worked with would even show up to insult him for an hour.

The actor Chevy Chase had a very UNSUCCESSFUL late night talk show in the 90s. On the flip side Johnny Carson host of The Tonight Show was successful for over 30 years. So Peter altering the past somehow made the actor Chevy Chase the host of The Tonight Show instead of Johnny Carson! And whenever they introduced Johnny Carson they say "Here's Johnny" at the beginning of the show!

Chevy also tends to start drama with pretty much anybody around him. He is a difficult guy to work with and there are plenty of horror stories people will tell about it. Don't get me wrong, the dude is hilarious, but if you watch him star on shows like Community, you will start to question if that is a character or just a dose of himself.
