The one about German stories is so real. I remember my favorite growing up was Der Rattenfanger, which basically goes that a village infested with rats hires a rat catcher, which is basically the Pide Piper, who plays a flute to scare off the rats. But what yall prolly don’t know is that the story actually ends with the villagers refusing to pay the pide piper, and so he exacts his revenge by leading all of the villager’s children into a cave, never to be seen again. And I’m not talking like 10-12 kids, I’m talking like 50-100 children. Shit is insane to think about in hindsight, but I remember asking my grandpa to tell me it every time we visited him
