My Italian grand ma used to fight with us when we went too long not calling her. Then, when we called her she would yell at us for waking her up in the middle of the day or early in the evening. Then grand pa would call us back yelling at us for upsetting grand ma. Then my mom will call grand ma back to apologize for us upsetting her. In the middle of that conversation my grand ma would start arguing with my grand pa for calling my mother and upsetting me. Next day we repeat everything.

I love how some of the people in the comments are Italian and don’t get offended and actually find it funny. I mean I’m not Italian but I’m black and I’ve seen videos about black stereotypes with different tv shows and some black people get offended by it when I find it hilarious. I think some people take things too seriously and really need to lighten up
@bobvancevancerefrigeration844
@bobvancevancerefrigeration844 3 жыл бұрын
I mean try to compare it. Italians didn’t really have it hard in America except financially but they weren’t nearly as traumatized as poc. Black people have been affected by slavery, segregation, etc. And there’s still people alive from those times. Then there’s police taking advantage of their position in power and literally killing women, children, and men for being black. Maybe you’re not offended but telling an entire community that have most likely been more affected by these things to “lighten up” is a bit shitty. Especially since a majority of these jokes are written by white rich guys who’ve never experienced these type of things a day in their life .

@@bobvancevancerefrigeration844 you obviously dont know the history of italians in america. For 200 years they were considered black, it says so on their immigration documents, they were excluded from Anglo society. Newspapers would run stories sensationalizing italian crime. They weren't allowed white collar jobs. In the south they were known to be targeted by the police.
@bobvancevancerefrigeration844
@bobvancevancerefrigeration844 3 жыл бұрын
@@splashndash3838 Italians at worst had to do a lot of laboring and were really poor and yes they were struggling but saying they were in the same category as black people is completely an overstatement. And though it’s true that Italians in urban cities were targeted by police in the past, again isnt as bad as the black community. To this day black people are being affected by the police where Italian people now not so much. I’m not saying Italians didn’t have it bad I’m just saying it’s hard to compare them to POC.

@@bobvancevancerefrigeration844 yeah and The Axeman of New Orleans is only a fable, as all the stories of Italian exploited as they arrive never happens. If you want talk only about slavery, for century our cost got kidnapped from the Mori, and bring our wifes and children in north Africa as slave. Stop acting all victim and desperate, she talk about the joke, she not tell that the usa have right to slavery people. In this world of pain and suffer, we all have our hard time, stop complaining and start to build a best future for you. Today the situation for us Italian is a lot better, there is still some restaurant in the norther country of Europe that still keep the sign "don't enter the dog and italians" but better than get abused for such stupid things as the color of the skin.

@Madeline Harper I am not saying Italy is of limits, personally i am Serbian and in every movie Serbians are bad guys for no reason, i think people shoul have respect for everyone and Americans are nation that doesnt respect other coultures and languages, thats just my opinion, when you work eith erupian people even if they are your biggest enemy (Croats vs Serbs) there is alwheys respect, not to say that there are no people who will fire up the conversations but there are many more who try to chill tgeme down, but in case of ever american i encouter alweys somone else is wrong, why so superior felings, i mean yeah America is the top countrie in terms of money and nuclear power but they lack lots of respect...Its just my life experience maybe not everyone is like this and i hope i am wrong, i hope there are good people there, i mean there is nothing worse if you ask did we deserver to get bombared with nuclerish bomb, to this day people die from cancer on places where the bomb fell, and everyone in American public was yeah we deserved it, people would never understand, its like beeing bullied but on nation level, sadly i cant make the world perfect but you can hate me as much as you like but still people there need to learn hoe to pay respect
