Then grand pa would call us back yelling at us for upsetting grand ma. Then my mom will call grand ma back to apologize for us upsetting her. In the middle of that conversation my grand ma would start arguing with my grand pa for calling my mother and upsetting me. Next day we repeat everything.

I love how some of the people in the comments are Italian and don’t get offended and actually find it funny. I mean I’m not Italian but I’m black and I’ve seen videos about black stereotypes with different tv shows and some black people get offended by it when I find it hilarious. I think some people take things too seriously and really need to lighten up
@bobvancevancerefrigeration8443 жыл бұрын
I mean try to compare it. Italians didn’t really have it hard in America except financially but they weren’t nearly as traumatized as poc. Black people have been affected by slavery, segregation, etc. And there’s still people alive from those times. Then there’s police taking advantage of their position in power and literally killing women, children, and men for being black. Maybe you’re not offended but telling an entire community that have most likely been more affected by these things to “lighten up” is a bit shitty. Especially since a majority of these jokes are written by white rich guys who’ve never experienced these type of things a day in their life .

@@bobvancevancerefrigeration844 you obviously dont know the history of italians in america. For 200 years they were considered black, it says so on their immigration documents, they were excluded from Anglo society. Newspapers would run stories sensationalizing italian crime. They weren't allowed white collar jobs. In the south they were known to be targeted by the police.
@bobvancevancerefrigeration8443 жыл бұрын
@@splashndash3838 Italians at worst had to do a lot of laboring and were really poor and yes they were struggling but saying they were in the same category as black people is completely an overstatement. And though it’s true that Italians in urban cities were targeted by police in the past, again isnt as bad as the black community. To this day black people are being affected by the police where Italian people now not so much. I’m not saying Italians didn’t have it bad I’m just saying it’s hard to compare them to POC.

I'm Italian-American (mostly Sicilian with some Neapolitan and Calabrian) and I think these clips are pretty funny. Some of the stereotypes are actually true, like the ones about us arguing and complaining a lot, as well as what Italian sounds like to non-Italians.

Most people still do, except the ones afflicted with a severe case of white guilt and who sit around seeing Hitler everywhere. Racism is a belief in racial superiority. Stereotyping is not a belief in anyones superiority, it's just a matter of recognizing humourous and curious behaviours and expressions tied to certain nationalities and ethnic groups.
