Logan, considering you had the same crappy weather we had here, your veggies look amazing and really puts mine to shame. I can’t even see any cauliflower head coming up on mine! 😂 A rabbit is having a feast on my yellow beans though since all else is under the coved domes….🤣 Wishing your farm a very rewarding season❣️😉 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

Hey from the Catskills. Your display at the market was beautiful Your Grandfather was like an Italian " fresh blueberries here" " best at the market" 🙂 Our markets here are much smaller. Next time wear gloves when put those posts in you get fiber glass in your hands. Take care all!!

The amount of produce you’re harvesting now us amazing. I know growing up farming how satisfying that must be. Great to see the markets going well. I’m sure the customers look forward to seeing y’all there. Always great to see you smiling my friend. Regards to all. God bless each of you.

You are getting some great vegetables. Like how you and your family are working as a team. Electric fence can be a headache to get set up. Once you get it set it works good. Thanks for the video update Take Care. Be safe working on the farm. Out

Hey Logan that's a huge area to fence, great job! Everything looks amazing. Still very hot here with no rain. 105 for the next 10 days or more. 🥵 We started seeds in our mud room where temps are 78deg. Our laptop has been down but we will be back up this weekend. God bless yawl.

Those fiberglass posts that you poked through the plastic, won't they be in the way of the sprayer boom? Do you install a floating row-cover overwinter? If so they will be in the way of that. If the corn is in the way, then I would have installed just one fence line on that side with an extra wire on it. Then, when the corn is gone, you can go back and install the outer line. If local regs permit, also get some hunters on the land. Does PA issue what we call "nuisance" deer permits in NY, for out-of-season hunting and extra takings?

I know that deer can devastate the strawberry plants but my understanding is that the fence needs to be at least 6 feet tall. There was a strawberry farm near us that had a six-foot chainlink fence, and the deer still got in and ate the plants. I was wondering if putting up flags that blow in the breeze would deter the deer. I saw a channel that put up prayer flags to keep the deer out of their garden. Your veggies look so good. I wish I lived by your market. Good job, guys!

For a mechanical (non-electric) fence to be effective for deer, It must be 8 feet high (woven wire).

On the deer fence. I've learned that you need to go a little taller. Maybe five foot. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWLJZqWaf6-jlZI

Bait the wire with peanut butter, spread onto alu-foil strips (like a tag folded around the wire), and make sure the line is live. The deer will be attracted to the peanut butter, they love it. Once they get zapped, they will never get close to the wire again. Deer are creatures of habit...they will remember it and stay away. Make sure you have a lower line too to keep rats and woodchucks out.
