This is a really good eye opener to the candidates who are inspired by any web series or moive about joining the forces/intelligence organization. Many of this candidates may clear the exam, but when reality hits them during the probation period, I am pretty sure not many will stay in the organization to the end of their probation. First fact : In Family Man, Srikant Tiwari was a senior analyst in NIA and was not a part of IB. NIA and IB have completely different roles to serve. IB is more into generalised intelligence gathering, vigilance, counter-intelligence and counter terrorism whereas NIA specialises on counter-terrorism only, which is more interesting and professional!

As I come to know about you from your videos that you have served in Intelligence Bureau which is commonly known as IB. Now coming the the subject matter query. Suppose a person who has cleared UPPSC Civil Services Examination and got selected as Deputy Superintendent of police. And after being selected as DSP he want to serve in IB. So is there any provision or procedure that a DSP from Uttar Pradesh Police Service can work with IB and get permanently absorb in Intelligence bureau ? And what are the further promotion opportunities for DSP in IB ? If a DSP serves 20 years in IB what should be his final post or position at the time of retirement ? Hoping a reply from your side.
