Esses caras me lembram minha juventude, quando comprei um Dvd com um show deles. Muito bom. Obrigado por compartilhar. 🇧🇷

Lyrics: Me my friend I have done many things Me my friend I have walked many lanes I have called many names I have played many games But I wish me my friend I could sail through the stars Have the gift to transport My whole being, my whole thought To a world of dreams My friend. Me my friends I have loved many girls Me my friends I have spoke many lies I have whispered many sighs I have asked many whys But I wish me my friend I could have til the end Someone to have and hold Through the years as I grow old In my lonely years My friend Me my friends I have seen many lands me my friends I have traveled far and wide I have sailed many tides I have rode many rides But I wish me my friend I could sail through the stars Have the gift to transport My whole being, my whole thought To a land of dreams My friend My friend My friend

Great LIVE band, caught them at Silverbell lodge north of Detroit in the late 60's. Punch Andrews, the promoter for the show loved these guys.

Chappo rules!; on this very event, where they gigged The Speakeasy (bouton rouge), Family played a dark straight ahead deep root blues tune, with a one bar riff, which led to an extatic double solo (clarinet / soprano sax) by Jim King. I know it exists because I taped it. Can anybody put it on youtube: greaaaat Chapman, greaaaat King, greaaaat Whitney, Gresch, Townsend, greaaaat Family. Saw then in 1968: huge band, Probably the best live act I've ever seen, along with the french band "Magma".

Yes I saw that clip decades ago !! Never seen it since.....
I used to see them at The Marquee, and believe me the original Dolls House band were just awesome live! Chappo was terrifying in full 'out there' mode! I've seen him destroy two tambourines during one extended romp through 'Old Songs New Songs'!

+Andy Thomas Yeah, I saw them a few times - Klooks Kleek is one venue I remember, and the rest of course are a blur now!, but with explosive, manic, microphone (including stand!) hurling Chapman, as you say - wonerful, magical gigs in those years - one of my all-time favourite bands.

Super song par contre le cameraman pouvais partir en retraite, c'est filmé horrible on ne vois que la tête de chapman, la clarinette de Jim king et les mains de Rob townsend ! Bon d'accord c'est 1968 faut se remettre dans le contexte !

Progressive? Or post punk?
@unknown6390 Жыл бұрын
Progressive, punk wasnt a scene yet. Sounds like post punk though (blame new bands for being unoriginal)
