Hoti comes from “ happened “ or “be” in English. We use to say when something “ happens “ but for feminine objects

Hello, thanks for the nice lesson . Can you tell me when is it used chichi (for aunty), because my Pakistani friends use this word a lot. Thanks.
@UrduAcademyJakarta6 жыл бұрын
Chachi= aunt The uncle's wife (paternal uncle, means uncle from your father family) is called chachi And wife of maternal uncle (mother family) called Mami
@velinamilanova19736 жыл бұрын
Thanks. its more easy to remember chachi from phophi.
@UrduAcademyJakarta6 жыл бұрын
Ya, phophi= father's sister Chach= father's brother Chachi = father's brother's wife And father's sister husband = Phopha ( but not common and people don't use. Better use chacha for him)

We call it "behan-wai" Means your brother in law, But mostly people call only " Bhai" mean Brother
@UrduAcademyJakarta6 жыл бұрын
Let me explain you in Detail. Your wife's brother is "Salah" and her sister is "Salahi" And your own sister's husband is "Behanwai" (Jijaji) This is the propertranslation, however we mostly use "Bhai" (Brother) for both mentioned above

Salam Bhai.I learn previously hai=is, hun=am, ho(s)/hain(p)=are. So example My mother is housewife. You wrote Meri ami ghar per hoti hain. My not Meri ami ghar per hoti hai.
@MazKhan-uj5cj6 жыл бұрын
Sorrry. I mean why not Meri ami ghar per hoti hai. TQ
@UrduAcademyJakarta6 жыл бұрын
Good point. We can use " hain" for respect and mostly we use " hain" for singular where we need to pay respect i.e. for parents, teachers, uncle, boss etc. For example. He is teacher (1). woh ustad hai (2). woh ustad hain ( respective form)

Sorry but one thing I don't understand If you (or anyone) have a grandson or grandaughter they can belong only to your own kids not to father's or mother's family. So, my questions are: How do you call your's son kids (son or daughter) and also kids from your daughter?
@UrduAcademyJakarta4 жыл бұрын
Hi France. For a man/ women, the son’s kids will be Poota/ pooti ( poota: male/ pooti: female). And daughter’s kids will be Nawasa/ Nawasi ( nawasa: boy/ nawasi: girl)
