Family of the pilot flying Gen. Ogolla describe him as humble and selfless man

The pilot of the ill-fated military chopper that went down with Chief of Defence Forces General Francis Ogolla, and nine other officers also died in the tragic crash.
Twenty-nine-year-old Major George Benson Magondu's life was tragically cut short when the helicopter he was flying went down in Chesegon, along the Elgeyo Marakwet-West Pokot border on the eighteenth of April 2024. His family speaking of a humble and selfless man who has left a huge gap.

In my view, age on the road is a major factor. He could have the experience but the area and weather could be a challenge. The general was also a pilot and could not just pick anyone. So lets wait for the outcome in a months time.

Youre insane. A pilot is trained, and a 29 year old can fly and has been flying. Many of the pilots who fly for emirates and ethiopia are in their 20s. But kenyans have allowed colonialism and ageism to clowd their minds. He flew all these big shots on so many trips and suddenly he is inexperienced? So how old should one be to fly a general???

​@@kaykay5605definitely there's ageism but calling such a suggestion "insane" is overkill. This question will come up in investigations definitely. Good thing as you say it's a matter of hours and experience, of which at face value one would expect comes with age. Exceptionally he was outstanding and proven for his age.
