We need group team challenges! Perfect pitch challenge- an outside party plays a chord on the piano and each team names as many notes as they can hear. Start off with one note then do simple chords then progressively add dissonant chords. +1 point for every correct note and -1 for guessing the wrong notes. This way, they can choose to only name 3 notes even if the chord has 5 notes to secure 3 points and not risk being penalized by randomly guessing notes. Each team gets a whiteboard with a music staff already drawn so they can draw as many notes as they want on it. The chord is played to both teams at the same time and they are given 30 seconds to deliberate what they heard. Harmony challenge- a melody will be played to all members of the team. One of them has to sing it back while the two others must sing the 3rd and 5th above the melody. If both teams were able to sing in perfect harmony, another song will be played but perhaps with different harmonies depending on how well both teams are doing. Music Relay- a song/melody will be played to one of the members. That person has to sing it back to the 2nd member in their team. The 2nd member then sings it back to the 3rd member on the team. The team gets 1 point for every note sung correctly by the 3rd member.
