I can vouch for the N57. Didn't have a 330, though I'm hunting for one now, hence coming across this video. No, I had a Champagne gray 530xd station. Tweaked to about 340 and 760Nm. And even up here with Swedish weather and winters, all year driving? Yeah, doing the conversions, it came out at an average of 37 Mpg. In that big block of lead. And when at the same time you can stomp on the gas and just dash around slowpokes on the freeway? Holy gods, what a good engine...

As somebody also currently in Australia, I second that yes, they certainly do. Unlike some parts of the world the Oz market get essentially all the Euro fast diesel cars (VW group in particular are actually the most popular new car brand, leading with golf), and while "fullsize pickup" trucks like f250 are not very common, the "midsize" (Toyota land-cruiser down to Mitsubishi Triton) are absolutely everywhere and almost all new ones sold are diesel, with power mods more common than not on anything >4 years old. So diesel performance is huge here on the roads.

Did you ever conclude whether this cars next best upfrade was fuel pump or injectors? I guess injectors would be most logical solution but the fuel pump looks the cheaper choice.

Just a slightly negative comment as I know little about this but looking at new cars. Something like this to even a late civic type r. The remaps to the engines and gear boxes, do they cause problems to reliability or effect long-term longevity ?

A lot of generic flash tunes can be problematic but our remaps are fully custom and we always make sure vehicles leave with good power figures as well as reliability and longevity. If any issues do arise whilst tuning you're informed instantly and given options to help resolve them

My friend was running similar power (390bhp) through his 330d rwd 2006 model, yet it would get too hot and burn oil, had to top the oil up often although he did thrash the thing, temp gauge would often creep a bit too high, it was stolen eventually...fun times in that car tho.

Does anyone know how the big turbo effects low down torque at motorway cruising speeds. In Europes 2 lane toll roads, I have to accelerate from 100kph (60) truck speeds back up to 142kph (90) cruising speed (cameras dont flash until above 144😉) all the time on long journeys. 8th gear is 72kph per 1000 rpm. So im doing lots 8th gear pulls between 1300 rpm and 1900 rpm when I overtake trucks. A remapped 330d has about 200lbs at 1300rpm and over 400lb at 1900 rpm. Does the big turbo make less torque at those rpms ? Is there a different turbo in between stock and this 2273 that doesn't loose low down torque ? Or gives more low down torque ? I dont mind sacrificing a few top end horses to keep or improve the low down torque. Mine has a full emission delete, egr cat dpf gone / hollowed out.

Yes this had our FMIC too. In short the 335d has 2 turbos, when you put your foot down the gearbox will drop and you will already be using the larger turbo. People think that the 30d will be laggy with the a single larger turbo but again the gearbox will drop down so you are in the powerband straight away. We have pushed a little more from the 30d now with this customer running 455bhp - www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/bmw-f32-430d-n57t-3-0-24v-cr-ga8hp-70z-zf-8hp-8-speed-automatic-455bhp-750ft-lbs/ We have done this 35d which sits at 424bhp with stock fuel system - www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/bmw-f32-435d-n57z-3-0-24v-cr-ga8hp-70z-zf-8hp-8-speed-automatic-424bhp-690ft-lbs/ But we have a customer booked in early next month for the same mods + fuelling and cam upgrade. We should see high 400s from this
