I want your son to teach every young child !!!! He soo right kids do not need tablets ect Give then a book and take the time to read it !!! It’s like you wipe the tears before the spilt milk !!! Yes Trevor, parenting has definitely changed. They hand the child a phone to babysit them. READ TO YOUR CHILDREN, DONT MAKE TIME, HAVE TIME!

Tell Trevor thank you. I get out of the habit of reading your Ryder and he’s starting kindergarten next week. I am going to make a plan to read to him everyday that I’m there. My daughter is a single mom, since the dad left her at 4 months pregnant but we won’t go there! So she is sometimes too stressed by the end of a work day and trying to get him bathed and fed and all that stuff. I’m so blessed that I am across the street now since I am also caring for my elderly mother and daddy so I can help her. Thanks Trevor!!

I agree with your son reading is not a common thing I read to my two older children as a single parent and with my last child I did sometimes and he graduated in 2017

My daughter reads to her children from when they can look at the pictures we did the same with her and her brother. Books are the eyes to the world . So many children are disadvantaged by parents not reading to them. Such a sad world

Kathy, from Wisconsin here. Our family gets together like yours. It's so much fun to visit with kids as they grow up. Also, I was wondering if it is possible to video the horse back riders in your family? My 8 year old grandson and I ride horse together, and he asks to watch "materialmom". He enjoys the grandchildren. He said, "See Grandma, I am not the only kid who likes to hang out with their Grandma."

You are wrong. I have a daughter in law that reads to and with her kids. She has since they were born. They are 12 and 9 years old. Do know that is not the norm. Love your family

Hi Angela:). Love ur family get togethers! Tell Trevor I used to check out at least 100 books every 2 weeks from the library and read many every night to my youngest son. His pediatrician could not get over his vocabulary for his age and said that he was a genius ~he still is.! To keep track of the books I would take the card out of each book and on return day would make sure each book had a return card. I had 2 huge duffle bags to carry them. In. To this day we are extremely close!👍👍😊🤗🩷🙏🎊🦋🍰🍨
