@@cameliap1146 No, because she doesn't have to be ashamed or embarrassed for being a stay-at-home mom. There are people who shamed women like her. Why? Because she should be at work, bringing home a paycheck so her husband don't have to work so hard, according to them. Yes, people can be cruel. In my opinion, if the husband and wife can agree on her staying at home being a mom for the kids, it's their decision.

It's important for kids to know what whenever you're looking at a citizen of an African nation, you're probably looking at somebody who speaks at least two languages, and often three or four. Most Africans in French-official-language nations also speak English, and even in Ghana, where English is the official language, so many speak French and at least some traditional or tribal language, sometimes more than one, occasionally Spanish or Portuguese too, Hindi, etc. It's just always amazing to me.

St. John 4:1-30 Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard, "Jesus is baptizing and making more disciples than John" (though Jesus himself didn't baptize them-his disciples did). So he left Judea to return to Galilee. He had to go through Samaria on the way. Eventually he came to the Samaritan village of Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Jacob's well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, " Please give me a drink. " He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, "You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?" Jesus replied, " If you only knew the gift God has for you and who I am, you would ask me, and I would give you living water. " "But sir, you don't have a rope or a bucket," she said, "and this is a very deep well. Where would you get this living water? And besides, are you greater than our ancestor Jacob who gave us this well? How can you offer better water than he and his sons and his cattle enjoyed?" Jesus replied, " People soon become thirsty again after drinking this water. But the water I give them takes away thirst altogether. It becomes a perpetual spring within them, giving them eternal life. " "Please, sir," the woman said, "give me some of that water! Then I'll never be thirsty again, and I won't have to come here to haul water." " Go and get your husband, " Jesus told her. "I don't have a husband," the woman replied. Jesus said, " You're right! You don't have a husband- for you have had five husbands, and you aren't even married to the man you're living with now. " "Sir," the woman said, "you must be a prophet. So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?" Jesus replied, "Believe me, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father here or in Jerusalem. You Samaritans know so little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews. But the time is coming and is already here when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for anyone who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth." The woman said, "I know the Messiah will come-the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us." Then Jesus told her, "I am the Messiah! " Just then his disciples arrived. They were astonished to find him talking to a woman, but none of them asked him why he was doing it or what they had been discussing. The woman left her water jar beside the well and went back to the village and told everyone, "Come and meet a man who told me everything I ever did! Can this be the Messiah?" So the people came streaming from the village to see him.

@Markito which European country? Coz I'm European, been living in several countries in Northern, Western and Eastern Europe, and never in my life I heard this name. It is an African name for sure.
@1ntuthukozwane
@1ntuthukozwane 4 жыл бұрын
@Markito But Gift is a popular African name because of how we name. In Zulu it is Sipho or Siphiwo/Siphiwe or Tshifiwe (Tshivenda-Zulu) or Zipho (as in Zipporah) or Nozipho/Nosipho (female) or Dimpho or Limpho or Taphua (Gaza-Zulu) or Mathebula or Zibula or Zibangu. These are our tribal names. So, we tend to name the children after tribal names. My other name is Siphesihle meaning great gift. So, you will get Blessing, Gift, Patience, Prudence, Professor etc. Amongst black folk etc. Because our names are inspired by goings on at time of birth and aspirations amongst major other things. It also stems from John or Joni or Soni or Silo or Maseru or Zeru or Zuru or Zulu or Zuli or Toure or Ntuli or Nduli or Toyi or Diko or Digo or Mandingo or Gumede (Princes of Mede) or Gude or Kuti or Qhude or Negus (in the Christ-era and Medieval Ithiopian Kingdoms of Axum and Zagwe which followed each other, and based in Kenya-Ithiopia-Abysinia which was ruled by Bantus) or Nkosi or Wangozi or Lagos or Lankhosi or Makhosi (means King in IsiZulu) or Cos (means Seer of the Lord in pre-Christ Hebrew - we also say Buka or Sheba or Siba or Shiba or Bona or Phalo or Bawo or Mbalo or Phallu, son of Reuben - the Kingdom (Suzerainty) of the first son of Israel - he was originally in Egypt and Chanaan, the Nkosana or rightful heir until he lost it due ti adultery with one of his father's wives, called Bilhar or Bala who bore Dan and Naphtali but also included Aser or what we called Xaba or Mabasa or Phahla or Mhlaba or Siba or Musapa or Mashaba or Shabalala or Saraias or Godo or Tholo or Toro or Jolo or Julu or Zulu or Zolo or Zuru or Turu or Maseru or Soulou or Sulu or Solo etc. In Africa and the world) Azul or Lazul or Nazori or Nazareth or Zerua or Ozolua or Zwangu or Thango or Zwane (my surname) or Esan or Mosia or Amaziah or Mzila or Zibiya or Sibiya or Zibane or Tibane or Tubane or Zubane or Ngubane or Ngomane or Ahiman or Maimane or Njomane or Gemane or Nguni or Ogun or Jukun or Thula or Butua or Muthwa or Motswa or Nzuza or Amukani or Amukela or Ngwane/Bhungane or Bangane or Akhan or Mukuyu or Mchunu or Chukwu or Mukhulu or Kru which is the originating tribe of the branch of Israelites we are called Maun or Arun or Aaron = the Priests of the Israelite empire created by God for His Glory. The last name for Nzuza or Akhan or Ngwane or Goan is Ntombela which is called Tobias or Mthobiya or Mathola or Thula or Kgotso or Ngozo or Zongo or Basongo or Kisii or Cisse or what we Southerners call Mkhize meaning Mukhize or the tribe of Kishi or Cis, father of Saul as Zulus/Sellum or Maseru rule the tribe of Saul and we were servants of the Kings and lived in Bersabee or Beersheba or Asaph or Sabi or Boyiki or Saba or Musapa or Mashaba or Xaba or Mabasa or Mabaso or Asom or Axum (which is what our Kingdom was called). Also called Zuma or Zhou or Lunda or Juda or Ndou or Eddo or Addo or Ntu where we get the term BaNTU from. It means Elephant people or people of Judah. From Zhouma then comes the rulers called Zhoulou or Wasoulou (both French) or Zulu or Sulu (English-Spanish-Phillipines). And every African country has people who claim to come from the Zulus like the Hausa and Fulani who say they come from Futa Toro. The word Toro is called Tholo or Mtolo down south and is also called Godo as in Godomigodo (what Eddo on Benin-state Nigeria was called before it was called Benin - we call Benin Myeni or Bileni or Biyela and we are West Africans originally) or as in Tshabalala or Xabalala or Nxamalala or Saraias (a tribe of Israel that bore the tribe called Jola or Majola or Joram or Joab or Qwabe or Mugabe or Mgabhi or Macambi or Macabi or Macabees or Macabeus who are former Priest Kings of Judah prior to arrival of Christ). The current Zulu Kings say they are all from this tribe.
