You guys need to put the whole body in cold water. It's not that bad. I'm in cold climate and once a week I'm doing cold dips in river. One or two minutes is enough. All the powerful feeling is happening once your chest is under cold water, your heart is working like crazy and when you get out you feel like superhuman. But this is a good start as well, it's all about getting used to it and training your mind you are going to be okey.
