I just got back to saying the Rosary and just finished my ninth day in a row which I was doing as a Novena. After finishing the Rosary today I looked around for some information online and found this video during my search and the booklet that I am using to do my Rosary was written by the same Father Patrick Peyton which was given to me many years ago by my Godmother who was my aunt that went to Boston College for theology. She has since passed away but would be happy to know that I am now at last trying to say the Rosary on a daily basis. Update: My first comment above was probably written around January 10th, 2021. As of Monday December 5th, 2022 I have been inspired and most likely called to do the full Rosary or 3-4 per day which I have been doing since November 1st of 2022. A little over 2 weeks ago around November 17th I finally took the time to learn how to say the Rosary in Latin and have been saying the Rosary in Latin since then when I say it by myself. I am also pursuing a religious life, God willing and believe I may have a calling to the Priesthood as a late vocation. To Jesus through Mary. ✝️✝️✝️ Pray the Rosary and spread the word. My family plays Fr Peyton as we pray the rosary each day. Sometimes my children request me to to keep it playing while they are falling asleep - and they only want to hear Fr Payton's version :) I really think it gives them a sense of peace. There is something beautiful that I notice about the way he prays the rosary. I used to think that the rosary could only be done well if done very slowly. I realize now that it has more to do with the heart behind it. There are multiple different paces that the rosary can be prayed with and each has its own benefits. But whichever pace chosen in whatever situation what matters most is having a heart of prayer behind it. He shows that a moderately quick speed can still be very reverent. Fast speed does not in of itself mean that it is being rushed. Ven Fr Peyton, pray for us.
