FAMmx Design - Motocross Graphics Printing

Sorry for the late replies. I'm going down the list of comments to answer questions so this might be a little out of order and because I only know English, some of the comments wont be answered because I can't read them! haha I use Adobe Illustrator to design graphics. I'm not familiar with Corel Draw but I know there are plenty of people that use it for the same kind of projects. As for the templates, it takes a long time to build a full custom template for motocross graphics but fortunately there are websites that sell templates for models dating back to the 80s. A quick Google search should guide you to the right place. Every template that I have ordered so far has worked great but on a couple templates, I've opted to add slits to help with the application process. The graphics are being printed with a HPL26500 Latex Printer and the material I am using for MX Graphics is a 6mil vinyl with a 15mil overlaminate designed specifically for Motocross. After the graphics are printed, they are sent to the Roll Laminator and then cut out using a Graphtec Plotter. I do not have PDF of this process and the video isn't in the exact order of how it's done but maybe in the near future i'll make a detailed video with subtitles or commentary explaining what i'm doing in order from printing to application. :) it uses a normal pvc vinyl, print with solvent base ink (for outdoor) , then laminate , then cutting. This is the order of operations

Do you cut 2 times? One before laminate and one after? and why you do that? Because it would be too thick to cut for the graphtec?

+Ben Bel We only cut one time after the vinyl is laminated. In this video, the sequence does not follow the exact order of the printing process but it does show all the steps that are done when producing motocross graphics. We may make a video in the future showing all of the required steps, in the correct order, from setting up your template to printing, laminating and applying the graphics.

hi guy could you help me i have a graphtec fc8600-130 i want to cut a thinck material, i dont make graphics kit as you, but i want cut a sticker as yhick as those graphics kits, could you please help me, what is the better setting to do that?? and do i need a special blade or something could you help me please?? i will apprecciate any tip

+Jimmy “jimmyozco” Orozco You will need to make sure you have the condition on your Graphtec set to the proper settings to cut through the thick material. You will need a 60 or 75 degree blade and you will also need to make sure your blade holder is set to the right height and your blade is sticking out far enough to cut through the material without causing a blade drag. We had a mid 2000's model Graphtec that didn't have the blade holder height adjustment and we were never able to make it work well on MX Graphics but it does work well on other materials that aren't as thick.
