Taft ‘86 alum here. I saw ice cube and brad wilk all the time. I know they said Jason Bateman went to Taft but I didn’t see him at all for all my 3 years there. He would have been ‘86 like me.

Joan Jett actually had 10th grade in Wheaton High School, in Maryland. That picture of her in this video comes from her Sophomore year Wheaton High yearbook. If there aren't any actual pictures of her at Taft, how are we so sure she was there? I think she was only there for GED classes, not as a regular student.

Dale Launer! Friend of my brother who was class of 1969 but at rival, Reseda HS. I was class of 1976. Lots if famous people from RHS too. All the valley HSs. ✌🏻💛 Didn’t Janet Jackson go to Taft? Even though they lived in Encino.

There is no report that I have found that says Janet Jackson went to Taft. She is listed as having gone to Portola Jr. High and then something called Valley Professional School. She graduated in 1984. I'm pretty sure if she had been at Taft, people would have remembered.

There are multiple sources that support that. Ice Cube and Easy E were bussed to Taft from Compton and South Central, but Easy E dropped out in 10th grade.
