You're proud to have a reading disorder?! I'm not saying you should be ashamed, it is what it is. Being positive is good but to be emboldened by disorder shows how nutty this world has gotten.

Feels good to belong to this group of amazing people. I've always known for as long as I can remember that I am dyslexic, that I'm just wired differently, I think differently, feel differently and behave differently. Many said I was moody, hopeless, wouldn't amount to anything, must try harder...bla bla bla, but I'm in my mid 50s and have some qualities that many admire about me. I'm not a millionaire, I'm not a rocket scientist or a famous person, I'm just me, but I like being me and think I have some pretty unique traits that shine. I have touched other people's lives positively because of those unique traits and so feel lucky to have this condition. Most people think it's just a words and spelling thing, but I can read very well now and spell too. I failed at school but at 35 took myself back to night school to learn English and got my city and guilds. It's about how your brain processes information and that's the thing you can't alter throughout life as a dyslexic. You will always think differently, spatially, outside the box so to speak! It's like a gift really, not a disability as many think, so be proud 🙏

Same, was told back at school that I was dyslexic and that it means I’m mentally disabled. I wasn’t having that, so I’ve been in complete denial until I watched a video the other day and I had to admit the truth. Was so sad. Until I watched all the great stuff about it. Happy now 😃

What is a good career with someone with Dyselxia???
@dawnparsonage5386
@dawnparsonage5386 5 жыл бұрын
Hello there, all sorts of careers really, depending on your skills. But creative thinking seems to be common along with anything with problem solving. So advertising, designing, inventing, engineering, starting a company etc. BUT its very important to say basically everything is still open to you, you just need to think creatively about how you might do it, and as a dyslexic thats what we're rather good at. For instance i have a friend training to be a barrister at the high court. Just go for it! :-)

Hahaha!.. If I'm honest I started to cringe at how many famous ppl who r actually dyslexic.... Can u please make a video about the losers who also have dyslexia... Exactly nobody mentions them... I understand that your trying to make us feel better for a moment or 2.. Although, when I wake up.. Its back to reality.. Also,.. What evidence is there to prove the ones which r dead.. Did have dyslexia.. Or perhaps undiagnosed? My thoughts r.. The reasons dyslexics focus more on creative things.. Is because it doesn't require a definite answer or any conventional ones.. I blame the school system!
