Wow you really did a lot of research. Nick Adams was a nephew to my grandmother. I couldn't believe it when I heard you mention his grandparents and therefore her maiden name- Kuchmanich. Thanks to your video I now know what town her family is from.

Nice job, one point in your usage. Please note that Marines are not soldiers and the proper noun Marine, a title, is always capitalized when referring to a person who is or has been a member of the United States Marine Corps. (We are picky about it.)

3:00 the Lemko branch on my mother's side, the paternal family [Repela's (Repeła,, Americanized as Repella)] knew the Halkovych's of Bilcareva (Binczarowa in Polish). Not sure if the same family as Andrew Kay's. But our families knew each other - the Halkovych's, Repela's (Repeła,, Americanized as Repella) and Gogots [Hohots, Americanized as Gogetz/Gogotz/Geagatz),, from village of Kamianna.]. The older generations within the US keep in touch with each other, and bring up "our cousins, he's a Halkovych", lol.

Interesting video! I met retired NFL quarterback Bernie Kosar at a Byzantine Catholic event when I was in high school. He was a nice guy. Not sure if he is a Lemko.

Thank you, that's pretty cool! Hm, that's a good question. After doing a quick google search, his name does come up on the Carpatho-Rusyn Society website, and I see his last name in a Lemko surname database. So without knowing more information, it's possible that he is a Lemko, but if not, then he has Rusyn roots from Slovakia/Ukraine

Нобелівська 2014 з фізики була присуджена японцям "for the invention of efficient blue light-emitting diodes which enabled bright and energy-saving white light sources". При всій повазі до Голоняка, голубі світлодіоди не були його винаходом. Піонерські наукові здобутки Голоняка були визнані американською та міжнародною науковою спільнотою. Зокрема, він був введений до Національної Зали Слави американських винахідників та був нагороджений багатьма медалями/відзнаками від авторитетних наукових товариств. Але, як сказано вище, голубі світлодіоди винайшов не він. Якщо тобі не подобається західна дИмократія, то знайди кращу у Хутіна, Кіма, іранських аятол, чи вуйка Сі.

@@acuriousergeorgeguy who was born in Kiyv village (I am about Sikorsky’s father) is Russian ? And what about Lemkos - why they aren’t Ukrainian and from which side they are not Ukrainians ? For example, their architecture is same as in Galician village Khidnovichi where my grandpa’s from. The same situation with clothes and cuisine. What about language - I can understand (I am from Lviv) almost everything apart from some word which mostly are of Polish or Hungarian origin. Maybe I am wrong, so, please, can you tell about origin and history of lemkos ? Tnanks
