@@MARCHING100PAPARAZZI: Right, because this same type of comment appears to insinuate that Mylar drumheads are being used. Doc James’ tuning scheme is just different from the higher torqued ones that are used from other schools. The drumheads are the same Evans Hybrids, but just tuned lower, comparatively. I have no dog in the fight, but as a percussionist, it always baffled me that people really don’t know their instrument like that, which is evidenced by this same comment.
