Chaps - in 2022 we embarked on a Championship campaign that saw us finish a clear 3rd despite a sluggish start. The question is, will our squad this August be stronger than two years ago? You'd have to think that with Ogbene, Chong, Andersen, Brown & Baptiste (plus McAtee and Taylor) now added, we are. If we can keep at least two of Kaminski, Adebayo & Doughty, and Nakamba stays fit, then definitely so. With Burnley & Sheffield regressing from two years ago there's no reason not to go for top two. I'd see Leeds, Norwich & West Brom as our main rivals, although Leeds are already weakened by the loss of Gray. Love it that, despite being a parachute club, our first signing is a free transfer.

Our squad will be without any doubts, so much stronger than we started the 22/23 season. Regarding keeping Kaminski, Elijah and Doughty, there’s still a lot of transfer window to go. Premier League sides would be mad not to take a punt on the last two. Regarding free transfers, nothing wrong with them. Great players run their contracts down all the time and some of our best signings have been on frees. Can’t knock Luton Town for their dabbles in the free agent market.
