I know you say in this that you make your music just for you, as an outlet to channel your own feelings and that you aren't trying to make an impact in any way. However, you've changed my life with Harley Poe, and sure many others. It has truly changed me as a person and given me new perspectives. Which means something.

I dont know if you look at these anymore, but dude, lost and losing it helped me survive. I went to Alaska with my fiance fiance. Spent a year in Juneau, Ak to be with her family. She ran off to fuck a coworker and I was entirely alone up there. Seven years with someone I loved entirely. It literally just ended. Had one kiss on the forehead, as she smelled like mens cologne, and that was it. 7 years just gone... I ended up building a buisness and making some good money while listening to your album. It helped me a lot man. Its nice to know others have felt that intense heartache (as fucked as that sounds). Keep going dude. Much love

Nice shirt! Showed that movie to a friend recently! I do like this format, gives me a look at how you are beyond the music. I have heard arguments about your music being sexist, transphobic, too graphic, too offensive, and so on. People just look too much into lyrics or words without regard of the intent of the artist. The whole band was super nice to me when I saw you in Denver and it made me feel pretty dang good when I was going through a rough time. I'm glad to know you're doing well and have moved on from the past with a healthy mindset. I too have recovered from harsh times.

Late to the party, I know... Why did you rerecord tracks such as "Transvestites" and "That Time of the Month" in "Satan, Sex, and No Regrets?" I guess this also applies to "I'm Coming For You" on "7 Inches of Hell" as well. Did you want a new sound or is there another reason? I have always wondered this.
@jobawhit3 жыл бұрын
I often rerecord old songs. Some of my favorite bands like the Dickies and the Cramps and many surf bands I enjoy have different recordings of some of the same songs. I like to release different versions of my songs. Sometimes it's a matter of the original recordings just not having done justice to the song, and so I just try again. Sometimes it's just a matter of keeping the song alive in a different way with different musicians involved. Also, I like to release full length albums, and I may not have enough songs written at the time. I just throw on some different versions of old ones and new listeners discover the old songs in a new way. I think those are my best answers.
@Heyxyz13 жыл бұрын

@@charliebrownsconscience8775 lol yeah that's a no. You're right, it didn't inspire a gay bashing movement. And I wrote the song from the point of view of someone who was trying to show love to a "sinner." But who the fuck am I to call anyone a sinner, especially over sexual preference?? But live and learn I guess. I was taught that backwards way of thinking at a young age, and these days I do my best to reverse that kind of bigotry.
