the game has terrible physics because the average person pretends to stop a train at 30km/h in 10 meters, they don't realize that a train is not a car. an r160 doesn't have a v8 engine traveling on a 6 lane freeway.

the simulation seems unrealistic. im from dc and not even our subway accelerates/decelerates that fast.
@ralphmiranda20777 жыл бұрын
It's 100% unrealistic. None of our equipment accelerates that quickly or reaches speeds like that unless on a downgrade.
@AdrianBSims-oy7zq7 жыл бұрын
it is extremely unrealistic. I've been on the NYC subway and watched the spedometer through the first car of the train.

I know things have to progress in a forward direction but I prefer the old school controls. A separate controller and brake pipe handle and actual reverser key. I'll take an old R33 or R62 any day. Two hands on the controls and no air suspension.

I like the control box but the simulation is unrealistic, like a video game. Acceleration from a dead stop to 45 mph then back to a dead stop in about 17 seconds. That's about 400 tons of steel. Newton and Einstein would be very upset.

Crazy fast speed and acceleration, lol. I heard about this a few months ago, but I didn't know the physics were THAT bad. OpenBVE is miiiiles better than this.
@sonicboy6788 жыл бұрын
That's an issue with programming in relation to the engine. (The programmers did not know how to work with the engine to get at least somewhat realistic physics in.)
