Danny Kaye was a phenomenon. Not a standup comedian--a Renaissance Man of show business who was also very funny. One of a kind, he was.

Amazing that he acts with his whole body - his hands, shoulders, face, legs, everything. Yet he makes it seems so easy, when it is in fact hard as f. Ive only come to know of him a few weeks ago, randomly, when the court jester was on TV and I couldnt look away. What a brilliant man.

I am So Happy to see this posted, and delighted at all of the comments here. I hope there will be a revival rather than anymore silly attempts at remaking a one and only.. impossible to describe, in a class by himself - a true genius as a performer and unparallelled as a humanitarian.

I have loved Danny Kaye all my life. He makes me laugh, but also he's an amazing singer. But I've always thought his ability to not have his tongue tie into a knot and break off was his greatest talent because if I was given this material, I'm pretty sure my tongue would kill itself.
@mynciboiV87 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure he wrote much of the tongue twisting stuff, he wouldn't have been given it. Who, other than someone who can do that, could even think it to write it into a script! The original script probably had loads of gap sections with just 'Danny Ad-lib section' or something.
@kapuso7kapamilya211 жыл бұрын
Absolutely-remarkable! Splendidly-amusing! Mr Danny Kaye was well-known for his mimicking and spontaneous acts,for his tongue-twisting and harefooted songs,for his good and effectual gag scenes,and for his ingenious and amusing spiels.He was/will always be one of the greatest and funniest comics ever-tickled the audience worldwide and ever-clowned in the Hollywood show business.What I love most about this nice and versatile performer is his flair in evoking genuine and inventive hilarity.

Julie MacAndrews in the bloody antisemitic world today the Christians would have bowed to the Muslim b.s. any Jew. He was not inly talented but a great humanitarian who worked tirelessly for children around the world. Something no Muslim ever did not ever will. Yet Christians swallow every crap Muslim feed them against Jews today.

Bucky Brown I beg to differ, the man could sing dance and act superbly in comedy and drama. He also was a humanitarian. His work for UNICEF speaks for itself. A complex man maybe but to call him a "fruitcake " is totally erroneous.
