It's silk.

Useful basic moves! The silk on the right hand fan starts to peel off. You can fix it by applying a little double sided tape.

I love your videos. I learned how to dance with a veil from watching your videos. I'm trying to learn the fan veil. I'm smiling where you say, "and you just open your fan" haha. My fan doesn't just open. I haven 't got the hang of it yet. The fan veil is much harder for me than just the veil. Any other tips for opening my fan?

:D Hi Janet :) check first if you are holding your right fan in right hand, and left fan in your left hand - fans open only on one side. If they are brand new, the opening will be a bit harder than with the used ones. I keep my fingers crossed!

There are so many fan veils on eBay or Aliexpress, you can find them also on Facebook groups. Before buying check this: fabric (it must be silk), material (bamboo) and peaces (two peaces: for left and right hand!!!).
