Just got these second hand for 200euros. Default brake settings, come from old Fanatec Clubsport V2s that were bugging.. 1 hour training in 2 days, did a GT3 fixed. Pole and the win 😊 The brake is just amazing!

Good improvements over the V1, pots replaced with hall effect sensors, much improved LC, V1 LC had issues due to being built into the pedal arm, holes for front mounting bolts are good as well. Big price increase €70, $130 Australian.

For a minute I thought I was going mad as my CSL Elite Pedals (I thought) were discontinued in favour of the newer look CSL Pedals range. I can tell your viewers categorically that this is a very welcome re-introduction/revision as mine were fantastic, heavy-duty & aside from not being as aesthetically beautiful as the Clubsport v3s, every bit as capable. The big negative was potentiometers clogging up & losing accuracy but the Hall sensors in these will eliminate that issue.

You can invert the brake pedal. Also they use hall effect sensors so more reliable. Btw what's nice about the elastomers is that they are made out of crude oil as well so is hydraulic fluid so there's some similarities to the feelings even though the two completely different things n how they work.

Damn mounted mine today on my alurig and wow these are some badass pedals out of the box! I‘ve used the v1 for 1 year now and i think the loadcell is one big step up! Also the hall sensors are the perfect improvment!

But i wish you had did it like that on the Asetek Forte pedals, because i bought them and looking for my brake adjustments so far. As the top complainer here and general fanatec-sceptic person, I have one thing on my mind to say - those seem pretty good. Fanatec seems to have taken majority of complaints about their pedal sets to their heart and improved on them in the form of those. Price is slightly steep, but it does fill the gap perfectly between csl's and the v3's, although every pedal set is expensive if you think about it really. I'd say if they were closer to 250, it would be very nice, however, taking into account the things included in the package, the fact they might as well be final set of pedals for a lot of people and your claims of them slightly beating out v3's, I think it's acceptable. Definitely looking forward to the review.

Mine just turned up today , stataigh out the box i loved it . Switched elastic to go stiffer efen better . Then thought lets got full stiffness , 3 x 85s plus black spring . Gt7 is now registering brake is pressed 100% even though foot not on pedal , any idea what im doing wrong ?

Great review but I have one big question: how big is the difference with the throttle and the break pedals compared to the Simgrade Thera? I know that the price difference is huge and that the Thera's come with 5 year warranty and are build on a completely different level. But I'm talking about the actual driving experience/performance. Is the throttle or the brake worse then the Thera's? Or actually close? Do you think that both pedals give you the same laptimes? Or does the Thera have an advantage here? (I don't use clutch) Your input on this is highly appreciated! Because I'm thinking to buy one of these two and you're the only one that has experience with both. Thank you in advance!

Sorry for the delay. I believe that I will do the same laptimes with both. The clutch is not good on the simgrade there and this clutch is average. The throttle on the simgrades is better. But I prefer the brake on the v2s, honestly

Hello mate, thanks for the feedback, I'd like to have your opinion tho. I am currently using TM stuff, and therefore T3PA Pro pedals. I'm going to upgrade to Fanatec stuff, and therefore wondering about pedals ; those new pedals, or "old" Clubsport Pedals V3 would be the best to switch to ? I am wondering if the 100$ more are worth it now that this pedals are out ? What do you think ? PS : switching mostly to have Direct Drive base, and rubber wear wheel, the T3PA Pro was good imo. Edit : Oh I realized later on the video you said you actually felt these pedals were better than the V3's, so I guess I have my answer about that :D I'm worried about the switch from T3PA Pro tho.

Do the switch. The v2s will teach you good braking habits and you will find consistency and lap time. Maybe not instantly but over time, you definitely will.

​@@LaurenceDusoswa So, quick update. The brake pedal feels really really stiff even with the lowest weight configuration. I'm not sure I will accomodate to it :( To help me hitting the 100% brake, I have reduced the BRF to 25% in the settings, which induce a very low range, which induce really hard trailbraking. I lack sensitivy in the really first percent (0-10%), like, I don't know if the pressure I apply is enough to brake a little, I just can't tell. First impressions aren't good, I'm worried :(

@@BlazerIchigo51 loadcell pedals can sometimes take long periods of time to get used to. But once u get the hang of it the consistency and laptime improvements will come. working out your legs may help.

@@LaurenceDusoswa I’ve tried bought and using the fanatec at the moment. Prefer it because are shorter and I get more control over it. The forte are a bit too tall and the brake has too short travel. Also I find that the forte are a bit all over the place with strange rumours and needed to recalibrate it more often while the fanatec are very solid and precise.

Mmm...there definitely appears to be more tunability, adjustments and supplied elastomers. All this without aftermarket hacks. I think thats where the difference may be inferred. I mean, look at review from the 16:00 mark...you can't be serious with your comment. Clearly you must own a CSL set; with such a dismissive comment contrary to EVERY reviewer on youtube to date. In fact if you'd own a CSL set over these, you're a fool.

@@Max__apex From what I gather the V2's have the same basic look of the V1's but better load cell layout and upgraded potentiometers to hall sensors. Overall far superior feel under foot and well worth the price increase it seems as they are reportedly better than the kitted V3's. They appear to have all the basics you need in a good pedal set like sprints, without some of the adjustability perhaps but at half the price.

I love my FANATEC gear when it works. My only regret is not taking my own advice and doing more research. Just look at FANATEC’s own forum to see not only all the issues but the very poor customer service. They are making it very easy for their competitors to take over.

I can’t make up my mind, I’ve lost my mind. You seem to understand that V3s are cool, technologically advanced, they have a cool clutch, a very good gas pedal, as many say, and they look gorgeous and the price is now only 300€! Looks like we need to take it faster. But it’s confusing that everyone admires these V2s so much, what can we do) After all, they have completely ordinary gas and clutch, worse than the V3. Is it really not worth taking V3??)

I think essentially why everyone loves the V2 is the break pedal. Its 7 years newer than then the v3 and very good. If you use clutch and want a very adjustable pedal set, v3 probably the better option.
