fanatec shifter 1 5 and handbrake pairing

they are close to 5kg's when put together right? I am planning to put those on a playseat challenge but I am not so sure if it will work out so well.. Might not be sturdy enough. I guess I will have a better idea once the chair arrives and I can get a feel for how stable it is.

well they get a real beating once you are racing full throttle . So make sure you attach it firmly to the seat. btw the handbrake is a bit too close for comfort meaning when i go to 6th gear my knokkels hit the brake . So i'm disconnecting it again and fitting something between about 2 cm should do it . Just use longer screws and its back ok ..

@@channelvr1293 Alright thanks for the tips, looking for a clever mounting solution right now. Doesnt help that I dont know the tubing diameter of the playseat challenge tho, and their customer support has no info on that, what the actual fuck lol, isnt that what they are for? Anyway, I didnt realize how HUGE this shifter is before... the thing is the size of your damn head lol

Thanks mate...do need some bigger spacers between the two otherwise if you use 7th gear you hit the handbrake...

Do the screws come with the handbrake or the shifter? Or did you buy them separately?

The screws that are at the bottom of the shifter and screws from the handbrake itself seem to be too small coz it won't screw in. What do I do?

hmm they should fit however i now added some rubber between the two units because i found that they where to close together and when shifting in reverse the handbrake hit my hand. so then i had to go to the DIY shop and just get some longer ones.....so take one screw with you to the shop for reference....they should have longer ones.. 👍👌

@@channelvr1293 the screws that came with the handbrake won't screw into the tnuts they're too small. I need thicker but I dunno what size and my hardware store is online orders only

@@cosmokram3r246 No mate you would have received a packet of screws and a packet of Tnuts with your shifter. Mine came with 6 of each. Use 2 of each of those to connect the handbrake to the side of the shifter.

Yes and no.... meaning No if you would like to fasten it on top and bottom..... Yes if you only fasten it on the top but it wont be that sturdy... i would have preferred it straight too.. but i'm busy changing a few things on my rig (gear and shifter , seat belt) gonne post a video on that too....i'm running behind on my vids for the moment...pfff
