Fanatic vs Traverse Hoody

I’ve never owned any Sitka products, and was looking at buying some. I was so confused with what was what and what the differences were. You’ve literally been a lifesaver with this! Thanks for all that you do.

I’ll walk out with the fanatic hoody on over the merino 120 or synthetic lightweight when it’s chilly, and the traverse hoody in my bag. I just add the traverse on top if extra warmth is needed later on, but it’s too warm to walk out with. The ambient is better for walking out if something is needed over the fanatic hoody if you sweat like me. Highly recommend both if it gets cold enough to stack them, which is like 40s or lower for me.

Now i understand i can just use a nice warm fleece to accomodate not having this particular traverse peice

I have the traverse and its maybe slightly too small on me but it makes the hoody stay in place and the mask works perfect but maybe thats because i have a fat head LOL.. perfect video showing the differences youre right its hard to tell the differences on their website and not hold them in your hands because like you said they are very different jackets

Have you had any issues with your fanatic hoody pilling? I’m going on my third season with mine and it has started to pill decently in the chest and stomach area from my safety harness rubbing it.
