Angela Hill wins with no trouble. Only way Mackenzie wins is if Hill slips on the canvas or something like that really strange happens. Dern is a very skilled Jiu Jitsu competitor, not a skilled fighter at all

Don’t be so sure. Hill is 15-12 for a reason and Dern loosing a razor close fight to Yan has aged really well for her.

@@gp873 Yes, cause she's fought elite fighters, and cause she arguably "was robbed" in around 5 of those close decisions (which would make her record like 20-7, or something similar). She lost to fighters with elite wrestling like Jandiroba and Esparza, she lost to fighters with elite footwork and distance like Rose and Torres, she lost to opponents with great kicking game like Nina Ansaroff and Michelle Waterson.... Dern has none of those things. Can Mackenzie win this fight? Yeah, like I said, maybe Hill slips, maybe Dern uses a Brazilian-style Kron Gracie- type of gameplan and pulls guard every time she gets close, maybe Angela does something stpd like she did when she clinched Randa Markos the whole fight for no reason when Randa had nothing on the feet for her, maybe Dern gets a controversial decision like the one gifted when Torres beat her in round 1 and 3 clearly, maybe Mackenzie misses weight and gets in the cage with serious weight advantage and bullies Angela like that time when Big Mack did exactly that to Amanda Cooper.... Something really strange like that has to happen for Mackenzie to win this bout, other than that this is a bad matchup for her

You think something strange has to happen for Dern to win? She's got 25 minutes to somehow end up on the ground with Hill and it's not even a fair fight down there. Hill is the better technical striker, but she isn't a powerful striker and she's not even particularly fast - I wouldn't be surprised if Dern can land the more powerful shots like she was able to do against Torres. This absolutely is not just an in-the-bag win for Hill especially when we consider that she quite literally has never beaten a single credible opponent and has actually lost to every remotely good opponent they've put in front of her. She only sticks around in the UFC to slow down girls who either shouldn't be in the UFC yet or are being pushed too quickly. Dern has beaten better opposition in 15 fights than Hill has in 27 including common opponents like Nina, Jandiroba and Markos who Hill lost to yet Dern beat. I'm actually taken aback by this idea that you view Hill as such a large favourite and I can only theorise that this is recency bias only considering their last few fights, which haven't even been in the same ballpark of competition level - Dern's fighting Yan Xiaonan and Tecia Torres whilst Hill is fighting Emily Ducote and Lupita Godinez... Hill is a dramatic step down in competition for Dern. Stylistically, you're not wrong to flag Hill as a problem for Dern - she's a striker, and Dern's wrestling isn't great - but Hill has 3 submission losses to opponents that aren't remotely as competent as Dern on the ground, so this is far from a perfect opponent for Hill. I'm interested in seeing whether Dern can show improvements in the stand-up department, and I think a slower striker like Hill is a perfect test for that. Beyond that, Dern can chew her up and spit her out on the ground any time the fight ends up there, and it only has to get there once in 25 minutes.

@Reklused Visuals she american born and raised in arizona. There are multiple videos of her growing accent how as her mma career grew, her accent got worse. Shes full of it. Stop defending a liar

The accent thing could be plausible if she speaks only in Portuguese all the time and lives in Brazil full time, I suppose your accent would change along with your language, theoretically it could make sense it's just so odd, I live in Dublin and know many people who moved here from a foreign country and they developed a Dublin accent while speaking English yes but never spoke their mother tongue in a Dublin accent.
