Those are different, look at beginning, shadows muzzle is darker, while other shadow is lighter, which means is, shadow had a son, as it seems that shadows muzzle is lighter which meansthat's the dad, and the other shadows muzzle is darker which is the son.

There's a comic dub where aurora travels back in time and everyones wondering who she is, I find it hilarious that when she wakes up the first thing she does is hug shadow and kiss him on the lips and sonic clutches his cheast in pain since he was unknowingly witnessed his future daughter kiss his most despised frenemy.

In the context of this fan comic, he only has 5 or so years more life experience than Aurora does. Shadow's age is a mess. He was created _physically_ 14 a very long time ago and was put on ice before he had enough life experience to be considered mentally comparable to a small child.
