Hi Jayne, I have never grown ranunculus now you got me curious to try. Thank you for another fun and inspirational video. 💚💛🧡❤️💜💙 Liz in California

I’m glad you planted them somewhere safe from the devil (gophers)!! I’m also in a rural Cali 9b zone, & 1st year I planted direct, without pre-sprouting, I had very poor luck- turns out it was BIRDS eating the new sprouts- so this past year I covered with chicken wire cloches til they were about 2-3” tall, & it worked great. The ones I pre sprouted did fine as they were big enough when I planted out that the birds left them alone.

Ohh, I can't wait to see your ranuculus bouquets! Pretty colors.

I really want ranuncula to grow here. I'm determined to try again! I love nespresso too, can't wait for Peppermint Pinwheel to come back!! Most of the bags were unique colors, I think if you took a photo of all the tags and bags you could probably sort them out at the end (just mark one of the pink ones).

Oh how I love ranunculus! And so do our squirrelsl! I'm always very pleased when they overlook one or two. Yours are going to be so beautiful, especially those shiny ones!!

Hi there. Do you think if you make a smaller version of the baskets that Janey and Jason made to protect against moles? Just a suggestion🌸💚

I’m so glad you ordered from Fleur Farm. I too order from them and love their extra larger corms. Do you leave the corms in your beds? And will they flower the following year. I’ve been digging them out ( getting tired of that) because I fear they may rot. Thanks Also love your garden tours extremely impressive with all you’ve done this year. Wow!!!!

How funny i live in Japan and just got my order off plants from the company you mentioned ( the seller engei) as I watched your video 😂 I wish I could add a photo here .

Great video Janey! Ranunculus was my favorite flower of 2023💜 So much so that I’m doing less tulips and more ranunculus in key spots in my garden. I live in SoCal 9b-10 and I leave my corms in the ground.

OMG! I just placed an order for 60 ranunculus from Fleur Farms and I can’t wait to get them and get the in the ground. I planted a few last year but I had never grown them before so didn’t know to soak so didn’t get any blooms. I am so excited!

I can't wait to see your step-by-step waterfall to creekbed. I plan on doing the same thing, but want to learn what others have done through KZbin.

All of my ranunculus that I planted last spring and that got cut back in the summer have all sprouted again this fall. Which is great because I wanted to add to my display but of course hadn’t marked where I planted them.

Ohhh my goodness, so cool!! I can’t wait to see them bloom!!!! They are going to be gorgeous! And in your pretty raised beds they will be so happy 😃

I had excellent results with my Fleur Farms ranunculus...but I also had excellent results with my Eden Brothers Mix with ranunculus and anemones. They must like my environment 😉. I soak and plant in fall, zone 7b, Middle TN. No pre sprouting, covered when below 25º in low tunnel. I plant 3-4" apart except butterfly, I did 12" but I could have done 6"-9".

I laughed seeing the corms. They reminded me of shriveled up wolf spiders!

Fun! I love ranunculus but I haven’t gotten them to flower for me. I am in WI so I pre sprout and they do well, but then once I put them outside in pots, done. 🤔 Also I think the music was perfect choice for a ranunculus video, they are just such romantic flowers!

Had a similar experience jumping into ranunculus. Sadly not all are available where I live. I wish I could order from Fleur farm they have alot of the ones I like. But regardless I did a big order like you. And by chance I'm soaking them right now haha. Thought I was the only one like there must be a black market for these things haha.

Looks like your high raised beds must use a ton of soil/compost. What do you use to fill? Does it cost a fortune?

You could have either punched a hole in the label provided and threaded the pull ties through the hole punch or stapled them to the bags. Not sure if the labels were laminated or not though to hold up in water. Or just attach a long piece of string to the bags so you can attach the other end to the labels provided and leave them hanging out of the container of water you were hydrating the corms in. Alternatively you could have just used a label printer or permanent marker and printed the names on a plastic label and placed that inside of the bags in order to soak all the bags in 1 container.
Does anybody know why Janey and Robbie aren’t posting?
